Indeed. He had to.

Its just first time round he did not remember everything correctly and Kate died. He remembered something about a catapult, which is why he is telling her that story, but did not bring one with him. And he could see that Kate would die, but merely telling her not to go on that branch did not work.

Its like that scene Rocco wrote at the end of 4x01, when Jack remembered he had to keep Ben alive. That only gave Jack a headache.

The same thing gave Hurley an entire episode.

I didn't realize ANYONE said Happy Christmas - it's usually Merry Christmas and Happy New Year :P

Not wanting to nit pick (which means I'm about to) :P but I thought Desmond was too much like Charlie with all his "bloody's"

But other than that I thought you managed to characterize the others very well

I'm not going to take the bloody's out. Without them it doesn't work for me, and then I'd have to rewrite those lines completely. Interesting point though, swearing all the time is a Charlie thing, isn't it.

I only want to change the Happy Christmas bit. :P
