It's was interesting enough, Mal, but I think that it would have worked better if it had been adapted as a script because as a piece of prose I felt that there was far too much emphasis on dialogue and not enough on description, which to me, made it a bit difficult to follow.

WOW Mal

i loved the flashbacks brilliantly done

first i thought he was on the plane in a flashforward leaving the island and Sun had died and then she turned up and i thought its obviously pre flight 815 and then i thought or is it are they both leaving the island

and then the Charles Widemore bit and the flower - well thought out

i have to confess i didn't pick up on the Theresa bit

Hehe, just like the real thing. You have to read the discussion to get all the hints.

And even though I've read the discussion - where did the flower feature, again? I mean, in Lost, on TV?

I love the way you did the subtitles, Malion, it makes it feel real somehow.

And the other thing I really liked is how you managed to progress several stories in the same episode. Sawyer, Hurley, Karl, Rousseau, Jack, Ben, Kate - they all move forward a little.

Just one question.

What is your theory on the nature of the "Rain". Because you gave it like a magical quality, and you must have a reason for doing that, especially since you titled the episode "Rain".

I'm sorry Orson. To be honest, I was constantly having to erase descripive thoughts. It was all coming out very omniscent. Let you could hear what certain characters were thinking. Guess I needed a middle ground to that, but didn't find it. Sorry.

Thanks, you followed the plot exactly as planned, I wanted to make it seem flashforwardy at the begining.

Thanks, I thought I'd give the flower more meaning, seeing as it saved their marriage.

Jin had it in "House of the Rising Sun" at the end of the flashback.

Thanks... I was wondering for a long time how to make them right, at one point they were all in Korean then translated... but it made it too jumbled.

I think I may have moved everyone a little too quickly. If this were a real LOST episode, it would have focused more on Jin, and would have been filler. :P

Yes, the rain is very metaphorical here. Representing tension perhaps... or maybe something more. I'm leaving a little mystery there.

No you're too harsh with yourself, that would have been a good title, especially as it makes a connection with Jin.

Thats how I read it too.

Mind you, I missed the Theresa falling down the stairs connection in "Rain" so you probably need better backup than me.

That was really good Mal! I didn't pick up on the Teresa link until reading this discussion thread either, lol. The Jin/Widmore crossover was a good one, and the explanation for Jin's flower that he gave to Sun was nicely done

It's good how you manahed to advace a lot of the characters on, including the main Jack/Ben/Danielle one, and the episode was left on a great ending with Locke pleased that he had run into Desmond for some reason! It's good stuff for the next writer to follow on with.

Ah, i see. In my mind the Smoke was still there surrounding them but had just stopped flashing lights at them - but this is what it's all about - interpretation. So it's all good, that part just confused me cos i wasn't sure if it was an oversight or a continuity error.

I've still got to read it through properly, so will comment properly when i do
