now i know it sounds a little far-fetched lol, and i dont know how to explain the whole walt, miss klue scene. but some people think that the whispers are from dead people. I think someone mentioned boone did a whisper, and theres loads of writing of the underworld on the hatch wall, which could suggest that the lines between reality and 'the other side' are very thin. anyway to the point...

jack has seen his Dead dad, and walt has appeared to shannon Whispering Backwards i know its a bit dodgey but it could happen. but unless the others are all dead i cant explain the miss klue scene

I think Walt is alive. But very good points. I think they were in the hatch so long they went a bit doo-lally, and I think the others have *been compromised* so they're a bit doo-lally too

yeh i got a feeling the others are just like our losties. face it, if you had been on an island x amount of years, and you were told to do x, y and z and this will happen etc you would follow, i mean what else can you do on a strange island?

i dont entirely suscribe to this theory but say the others are just normal people, part of the whole experiment themselves that wud put a nice twist on things. so after the finale we'll learn that the others are merely people doing stuff to satisfy, possibly 'him'??

so many questions, i love lost.

not with the tide of this island! i know what you are saying though, but personally id be disapointed if there was ANY contact with the outside world, even that was a second island where some scientists were

I certainly advocate the idea that the whispers are from the dead..and i believe that the island reduces the 'gap' between the real world and the 'other' world. I would never have championed such thoughts back in S1 but i just feel that the show is heading in this kinda direction.

Im not sure i agre that Walt is dead [although that would be one way to kill off a kid character without causing uproar!]. I think that Walt is alive though and that he can possibly project not only in this world..but in the other world [as in the place where dead people go. Lol, that sounds silly but it may not be too far fetched!]

Going further with your theory. What if the whole of Michaels flashback was all one vision. None of it happened and he just felt he had to do all those things. Maybe he's barking.

i dont think that walt is dead i was just throwing out suggestions

i think its a slight (very thin ... but possible) possibility that this has happened. like you said it would be an easy way to kill off walt without the whole uproar and NSPCC getting involved.... would the NSPCC get involved because if an adult killed a kid for no reason -- animal cruelty??

walt was cloned whilst taking hostage and will return as a grown up teenager in a few seasons and acne and a broken voice.
