Does Jacob Have a Brother (or "Bad Twin")?

Random speculation derived from random thoughts:

Does Jacob have a brother?

If not, then why are Jack, Kate and co so important to the island when they weren't on Jacob's list?

Have things changed since then, or are there two mysterious cabin-dwelling guides, one being Jacob and the other being his brother?

Perhaps Jacob had his list and his brother had his own list containing his own 'special people' (Jack, Kate etc)?

Has future Ben switched allegences? Is this why he is now hopeful of returning to the island? Are future Jack and Kate being drawn back to the island, not by Jacob, but by his brother?

I question, because there seem to be very mixed messages coming from the island, it's manifestations and entities. We know that Ben has fallen out of love with Jacob, yet he still feels as though his future is not yet set in stone, a possible return on the cards.

Jacob has been disinterested in Jack, yet clearly Jack is important..but important to whom and to which ends?

Is Jacob a bad twin? Does he have a brother with his own plans and his own agenda?

Unlikely, but I'll put it out there, because the truth is hidden.
