My newest theory is that Lost is just simply a TV show. There's nothing to it. It's just a random TV show with lots of things cleverly put in and planned out to make us think and come up with more and more complicated theories.
We're all becoming so obsessed with trying to figure it all out and making up more and more theories that we've forgotten the simplest theory. There's absolutely nothing to it.
I can imagine the end of Lost showing all the writers/directors etc. sitting round a table and one of them going 'Haha this show will be well good we'll fool the viewers by making them come up with really good theories where really there's nothing going on!'

Though if this theory was right I would go club the actors

it's a good idea but I don't think they'd do that. They are very aware of the fan community and know they their reputations would plummet if they ended to show in such an evil manner. The show will have invested peoples energies for 6 years by the time it ends, and they know that fans want a big payoff.

As i said, i do like the idea and also believe that it could be something 'twisty', but i'm not sure if they would self-indulge by including themselves in the ending - it would be like crossing a line and indulging too much in their own work.

That said, i do think that the ending of Lost will carry a social comment..perhaps on technology or something. So who knows, now that you've put this idea out there you should certainly continue to look for evidence and develop it further as time goes by
