Lightbulb Dead People Ressurect When Brought To The Island?

As most of you will know, Jack's dad died, yes? Well, how can he be prominently appearing throughout season 4 and sometimes appearing in season 1 & missing pieces. So, he was in the coffin, the plane crashes, he's gets out of the coffin and runs around the island talking to Jacob & Vincent?
So the island has ressurected him? Maybe that's what's going to happen to Locke? I mean, the writers wouldn't just kill him off, surely? I hope they don't anyway, I love Locke, I'm stuck between him, Ben and Desmond. Anyway, thanks for reading, leave good replys, go easy on me.

In this case, one can only hope so.

I'm pretty sure that Christian's body is only a medium through which Jacob, or the Black Smoke, or the Island, etc., is channelling itself, so I wouldn't say he was resurrected.

Also, Ray, the ship's doctor, had his lifeless body float over to the Island without there being any signs of recovery from his slit neck.

However, I think the idea of Locke being resurrected is actually a distinct possibility, based on the fact it's nearly unthinkable that they'd do it, if you get my drift. It's tantamount to cheating on a TV programme.

Worthy of note is his conversation with Jack, where Locke says, "It's not an island — it's a place where miracles happen. And if you don't believe that, if you can't believe that, just wait till you see what I'm about to do." It occurs to me that, although it's implied he's referring to the Island going walkabout, the miracle doesn't happen 'on' the island, and Locke doesn't actually do it either, Ben does. Part of me says it's a subtle clue.

And welcome to the forum.

Resurection is something I have considered too. Maybe Charlie was resurected and sent back to the mainland to talk to Hurley, maybe Jin will see his child after all. However, others have died and not been heard of since, and don't know how this would fit into the time travel/constant part either.

I certainly agree with the notion of ressurection - although of the spiritual kind. I've long been an advocate that the island itself is able to manifest as the deceased..those who have either died on the island, or like Christian, those whose bodies end up on the island.

I also believe that the spirits..or souls of the dead also offer us a distingtion, in that they themselves are reborn if you will..and can communicate with the living via their connection to the subconscius of these people - a connection which can manifest as dreams, visions, whispers..

I also think that it would be interesting and perhaps revealing to combine this notion with the idea of 'time-loops' (which I personally believe exists in the real of Lost). As when someone dies, do they return to the next iteration..the next loop? If so..could we say that they return as a blank slate..able to make the same or different mistakes..unwitting of their previous actions (except from the faint impression that past loops have placed upon them - i.e. dejavu)..whilst their actual 'spirit' goes elsewhere. In the case of those who die on the island (or whose bodies end up there), perhaps they reside behind the curtain in a kind of 4th dimension..a dimension which opens up it's connection every now an then (hence 'whispers')..and which people like Miles can channel/tap in to.

Anyway, interesting topic, I certainly agree that Locke will be ressurected in some form, if his body is returned to the island..perhaps in Jacob-type form

Welcome to the forum btw!

Yes, there is a chance he could join Jacob as leaders of the island, which would be interesting, aslong as we see just as much of him as we usually do, I hate that episodes are sometimes split into groups..like, one episode will be about the people on the beach, the next will be about Locke and The Others..it's annoying.

Also, with the spiritual thing, there's Miles. If all of these dead people who appear to be alive are just spiritual manifestations, I wonder what Miles would see them to be, seeing as he has that connection to dead people.

Thanks all, for welcoming me. <3

I'm hoping they will use Miles well next season. It seems to me that Miles presence on the island could really open the story up. Look how handy Miles has been in confirming stories of how people met their end on the island. Miles has the potential to be a very interesting character on Resurrection Island!

Yeah i felt In Season 4 they didn't really get a chance to Explore Miles and Charlotte. I was afraid they where going to kill one of them off without explaining everything like Libby or Boone ( only really scratched the surface with him )
