Sickness 'theory'

Not really a theory, just ideas I've had over the last few days.

Is the sickness when people do a Des and switch to and from different places in time?? Minkowski was rendered as crazy by his fellow shipmates, and maybe that's why Rousseau killed the people of her crew. It seems the island affects people's minds, i.e. Regina etc

My ideas never seem as fulfilled when I type them as when I first come up with them

I actually thought this but Des asked if anybody had gotten sick so how would he know what the sickness was in the first place unless he didnt

Well as far as I can remember, he didn't know what it was, he was just told to take the vaccine

No don't you remember?? When Kelvin found Desmond he just told Des to take the vaccine every 3 weeks or whatever, he never actually said why... Des knew there was something wrong, something he should be taking it for, so he did, but he didn't know exactly what it was.
