jin not dead

i've been thinking about this alot lately, if jin was dead then why wouldnt the 0'6 just tell the truth about his death and bring home his body. But instead they are going with the lie that jin died in the crash,(the dates on his grave stone). Although how do they explain then how sun is pregnant, i presume they have to lie about the baby being concieved before the crash, or someone else has to be named the father, hurley, sayid or jack? since that three were the only male survivors to have survived the crash according to kates story in court. I feel sure that if there was a choice in someone leaving the island that jin would make damn sure that sun was the one. We have all seen him in the past goin out to do all he can for the protection of his wife, the raft, the boat trip,and other exploding exploites, not careing about the safety of himself but always to protect his wife and ensure her survival and now that of his unborn daughter.

I personally think that Jin is still on the island, why he didn't stay with Sun I'm not sure, maybe there wasn't room or time?? Jin's tombstone says the date of the crash so goes along with teh story that everyone died, except for 8. The dates of Suns pregnancy are something that they will have to deal with, she got pregnant on day 49(ish) but we don't yet know when they actually leave. Maybe when they leave the powers that be provided a doctor so no one needed to see how far she was in the real world?? Perhaps when she phoned in labour this was the first time she'd gone to an off island doctor, so if she's in labour I don't think they'd bother to scan to see how far she was.

I'm of the opinion that Jin is dead - certainly that is the impression I got from Sun's tearful visit to his 'grave'. However it is possible that something else is afoot, and he is still alive..perhaps sacrificing his own freedom for that of his wife and baby. That said i'm not to sure that such a choice would've been given to Jin - I feel that the choice of the O6 was either Ben's or the Island's.

Regarding someone else (another survivor) being the father of Ji Yeon - I think she looked Korean and not mixed race, so I don't think they are spinning such a story, but it's interesting to consider how she has explained the dates - similar to Kate's dilemna perhaps. Although perhaps the time difference - or the perspectie of the time difference - has played it's part in expediating the child's delivery once outside of the island's bubble. Or, more plausible, she has just lied about when she conceived - she's only been on the island for a few months and so she could prbably get away with a bit of date-manipulation.

As for why they didn't bring Jin's body home, I think it's possible that Jin might not have had a body to bring home. That is, it might not have been in adequate condition to transport (think Pilot/Smokie), they might not have had the time to gather his body (did they get out of there in a rush? did Ben 'magic-box' them?), Jin might have only been reported as dead, and not in the vicinity when the O6 departed, etc etc.

And as you mentioned, Jin might still be alive - although again, i thought Sun gave a very convincing 'Jin is really dead' performance. Now Hugo on the otherhand..he seemed really composed (and dare i say, sneaky), so perhaps he knows something that Sun doesn't..

But yeah, it's certainly still open at this stage and it will be interesting to see where the whole Jin storyline goes!
