timing all wrong

I really think that claires arron is not the one who calls kate mummy. The timing is all off.
First of all, in season 3 ep6 -I do, kate does a pregnancy test which is positive. What happened to this baby???
After season 4 ep. Ji Yeon, this theory has really played on my mind. Sun has her baby in the 'real' world, which if Juliet is telling the truth means that Sun has to leave the island within the next three/four weeks(february) before her second trimester. Sun would then have her baby roughly junetime. Her and hurley seem as if they have been back in the real world along with the rest of the oceanic 6 for possibly a couple of months (the hospital staff knew she was one of the six).
So aaron would be taken off the island when he is roughly three/four months old. (claire was almost eight months pregnant when they crashed on sep.27 so aaron born the end of october).
Now when we see kates aaron at the end of season 4 ep -egg town, he must be roughly 2 years old. It just does not make sense that it would take say 18 months for kates trial to come to court. Considering that she was on her way to face trial when they crashed.It would not take them this long to reopen her case,apart from the fact that she should probably be in jail waiting for her trial, not in a lovely house setting up home with her 'son' for the last 18 months!
Another detail that bothers me, is the media coverage of the oceanic 6 was still very high at the time of the trial, I dont think that after 18 months on,the press would still be very interested in the oceanic 6.
Also jack seemed very 'together' at the trial, clean shaven etc. so it seems obvious that crazy jack happens way after this? So this would mean that it is at least 2 years before jack goes crazy and wants to go back to the island. Surely this cant be true! Something is way off!
So the only conclusion that i can come up with,is that kates aaron is notclaires aaron but her own biological son from before the crash! And just by coincidence has the same name as claires baby.

i don't think kate would've had a biological child from before the crash. and if the pregnancy test was positive, then that baby would look younger than aaron.

i can't explain it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Kate's pregnancy test was not positive in I Do. Her test showed negative, but it still freaked her out all the same, simply because she had to take one. She did not want to be pregnant because she was still running.

Aaron is without a doubt Claire's Aaron.

I've seen an abc trailer that confirms Aaron as one of the OC6, so it's definately him

Nice idea with Kate possibly having Kevin's (or whatever her 'taco-night' bf's name was) child and then going back years later to raise her child.

However, I don;t think this is the case - first, there's been no hint of Kate ever having a child pre-island. I'm not sure of how her pre-island flashbacks relate in terms of order, but i'm pretty sure none of them leave a 9 month window for her to have a child after leaving Kevin.

Also, you're right - Sun must leave the island some time in the next 1-2 months (probably sooner). However this tells us that Kate's 'Eggtown' future flash happens in 2006. Which would makes (Claire's) Aaron 2 years old - this is surely the age of the baby that calls Kate's "momma".

Of course, Kate was only on the island for a few months anyway, and so one could argue that a pre-island child would also be 2 years old - but we have to remember that she left Kevin at least a year or two before she nearly got pregnant with his baby - and that's probably the biggest clue that the Aaron in Eggtown isn't her bio-baby; as her preg-test wasn't positive, it was negative (as mentioned). She left because she was scared that she 'nearly' got pregnant etc.

I think it makes sense for her trial to be in 2006 (i.e aprx 18 months after 'returning' home) because these kind of trials take a long time to get to that stage (look at the Michael Jackson trial a couple of years back).

As for Jack, you're right, he was very together in the Eggtown flash (although in each of his future appearances, I've detected an under-current of the decline in his demenaor). I'm thinking that he gets to the 'Michael stage' (if you will) within a year from that trial (i.e. 2007).

So I think the timing is spot on:

2005: the Oceanic 6 leave the island (that's Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hugo, Aaron and Sun - and Ben).

-Sun gives birth to Ji Yeon in the 'real world'

2006: Kate's trial

2006: Sayid works for Ben (although he might have started the year before)

(early) 2007: Jack visits Hugo at the mental hospital

2007: Jack goes nuts - probably cos he can't die/put himself out of his misery - although that doesn't explain what causes his misery..so it might be slightly different from Mike's decline.

I think Aaron looks at least 3 in the flashforward. I know some kids and speak pretty well when they're 2, but he seemed big as well. I dunno... just a thought

true..I would think that at 'most he's 3 years old, and at least he's about 18 months. But i'll go for 2 1/2
