Ok, everyone knows the new man Dan right??? Well, I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a connection between Daniel and Danielle??? Did the writers put this in for a reason?? Maybe Dan is Alex's brother or twin or something. Does anyone think I am on to something or does this sound illogical??? Right now I am trying to figure out how old Danielle, Alex, and Daniel are???

Shows often like an array of names and avoid people having the same name - or atleast some shows strive to do this so as not to confuse viewers. It is possible there is some 'connection', possibly distant relatives? - a secondary reason as to why Daniel is on his mission. It is plausible.

Re: his age, Daniel is getting on but he is nowhere near as old as Rousseau. But most things on this show seem 'connected'.

It is based purely on them having the same name.

Jeremy Davies [Daniel] is 39 years old [going by his date of birth 1969; he might be 38] but obviously he is much younger than Danielle.

True, however Lost is not a typical teenage movie where a 25 year old plays a 16 year old. He could be Danielle's brother because sometimes there is a large age gap between siblings. Not that I am investing too much thought into this theory but I like to support theories all the same.
