Could Arron be Boone??

There's many themes in Lost... the idea of fate, that everything happens for a reason... life after death, if the whispers are indeed the dead... time travel, if that is what the BS is... seeing into the future, i.e. Desmondo... but what about the soul??

Some people believe there is no soul, they believe we're just an organism that lives and dies, and that's it. But others believe we each have a soul, which makes us who we are, makes us individual.

Some people who believe in the soul believe it is with you from conception... whilst others believe it enters your body when you are born...

So, this last bit links into Boone dying/Aaron being born.

As those events were so close together... could Boone's soul have entered Aaron??

Maybe the soul got "trapped" inside the island... "We're in a bloody snowglobe"... therefore it had to find a new host somewhere on the island... luckily Aaron had just been born.

This also begs the question as to whether the island brought on Claire's labour especially for a home for Boone's soul... because I think Boone has some unfinished business, i.e. Locke lying.

Now, in one of Roco's threads, he said how maybe Locke's encounter with the BS gave him the ability to see into the future... well what if Locke saw how Aaron grew up, mabye similar to Boone... could that be why Locke befriended Claire?? He got quite friendly with her, building the cradle etc...

Or maybe Locke saw just a part of the future... and thought Boone needed to die in order to prevent that future from happening... maybe Aaron had no soul and became evil, and Boone's soul prevented that, making Boone a sacrifice for the greater good...

Well what this means, I actually have no idea... but it's a possibility, no??

It's only a possibility if you believe in reincarnation lol.

But no I don't think so. One because the writers have so many plotlines going on that introducing reincarnation would just be pretty daft and would be throwing stuff in for the sake of it.

Secondly, how would it be revealed that Aaron is Boone in a new life? You can't reveal it lol and the writers wouldn't use something that couldn't be revealed/answered later on. The only way for this to happen is for Aaron to suddenly say "Hey Claire, don't mean to freak you out or anything but I'm actually Boone, now breast feed me".

Nice idea

Both events were very close together but perhaps this for dramatic television. I think it would be very interesting if there were ramifications from Boone's death on Aaron's birth. Perhaps Boone's soul is not in Aaron but rather Boone has "some kind" of a presence in Aaron. We saw Boone in S3 in one of Locke's dreams, so Boone still HAS a soul imo.

Claire's flashback with the fortune teller [Malkin] was always genuine for me, I still believe in spite of him confessing he WAS a fraud that there was something about the way he foretold Claire's future. When Claire took the pregnancy test there were Devil/Evil references in regard to Aaron. Put this together with Malkin's fortelling of "dark forces surround this baby if you do not raise him by yourself", could mean Aaron is evil.

Locke may have prevented this by allowing Boone to die and in turn saving Aaron from a dark life because Boone's energy/spirit counter-acted Aaron's bad soul upon being born. Locke is now, as you say, connected with Aaron. It is possible.

Locke sounded sarcastic when he made this statement but I am quite certain at some point he used it with conviction, meaning he full heartedly believed it.

Matt, I'm liking that

I thought it was well nice that when Boone passed away, Aaron was born. Strange to say, but it puts on a nice side to a tragic event

The idea is very good imo. It would make a lot of sense and it would be very cool! As JB said though, it's just incredibly unlikely because we'd never actually find out anything about this. We're only going to see Aaron as a wee one!

But I do like the idea a lot. Interesting read. It'd be a really nice thing for the writers to do!

The death and birth was very emotional and very well done I agree. The sadness and joy intertwined was brilliant television.

I think so long as the term "reincarnation" is never used the idea could be believable. I think if ever it is unveiled, we won't have to wait until Aaron is older. I believe we'd find out much sooner.

I thought Boone died first which would support the theory his soul or energy then transferred into Aaron when he was born.

i dont know i just dont like the idea, Aaron was already a living person before Boone died, so he would have his own soul! Also if it did turn out they were the same or whatever, how could they explain it?? It would be too hard without it sounding silly!
