Messages from beyond..?

I touched upon this in the main discussion thread but thought i'd give it a thread of it's own.

After seeing Eko's dream of Ana and yemi and the message that they gave him..could it be that the dead are the ones who are delving into the subconcious minds of the losties in order to send them messages/guide them? It's just that Eko's dream was so clear and accurate..maybe because Yemi has a close affinty with God and so he was able to project a clearer messages and perhaps because Ana has only recently die her message was also quite clear..?

I had thought that it was the controllers of the island [or even the island itself] which produces the deams/visions/whispers. However it now seems likely [to me] that the island has special properties that allows the dead to connect/manifest from the 'otherside' via dreams/visions etc. Is this why there are so many recent references to the underworld and that sort of thing?

I've often wondered this as its a reoccuring theme.

We've had Jack/Christian
Kate/Horse
Hurley/Dave
Ecko/Yemi/Anna
Shannon/Sayid/Walt
Locke/Boone
Claire/Danielle - She dreampt this before it happened

There are probably more I cant remember off the top of my head, but in some form be it a dream or a vision, the losties seem to be gettin gmessages from another world.

I cant phantom these latest dreams. My logic tells me that messages from the beyhond are impossible so what then? Island controlled halucinations is my guess. I mean we know they are monitoring the hatch so they could project the image of AL being dead at the same time she died easily enough. But then that would be impossiable - unless - Nano Bots???

It can't be that they are dead - cos we know that Walt and Dave at least aren't dead (Dave didn't even exist). Walt might have projected himself (cos he has special powers), and Dave was conjoured up by Hurley (I assume)...

It makes me think that even though most of the people on that list are dead, they appear because they are vividly in the minds of the Losties, not because they want to appear themselves, if you see what I mean?

but then, that doesn't go with the Yemi dream, and Ana appearing to Eko - that seemed to be very deliberate on the parts of the two dead characters.....

I'm confused...

Sticking by my original Cerberus / Black Smoke theory I think this dreams fir the criteria perfectly. Eko was given information he couldnt possibly know about (Ana's death, the ? on Locke's map) and the fact it was Yemi giving Eko his quest meant he would follow it instantly after what Malkin's daughter told him back at the airport.

So the Cerberus then projected a dream that could easily have been meant for Eko into Locke's head again by Yemi but also since there was a wheelchair there it was clearly meant for Locke.

These visions were similar to Charlie's in that respect as well as Locke's original dream which lead him to find the question mark / drugs plane in the first place.
