Why thankyou ..yeah, it seems like theyre trying to dismantle them in order to rebuild them..perhaps mentally, emotionally, spiritually etc - and lets face it, all 3 need some help in those areas

I don't think think Henry is dying. He has shown no sign of illness or debilitation. However, I can think of something in favour of your hypothesis: He has lived all his life on the island (so he says). Perhaps he has some congenital problem, which his family knew about in vitrio, and hearing of the healing effects of the island they moved there to raise him - but he can never leave... This would suggest that what they want Jack to do involves curing Henry permanently so that, as Ben, sorry, I must call him Ben. As Ben says, "I will take you home". My own take on things was that they took blood samples to test for "the sickness" which I still think may be real. I suspect they are searching for a cure, and this is why only certain (immune) members of their group can go to the Swan hatch area - just my pet theory.

I would agree now, Korevo, that they are not merely experimenting on their "guests" - they seem to me to be trying to brainwash them!

Interesting Benry theory you got there - i like the part about him being sent there by his parent's due to the fact that he has an incurable illness that only the healing propeties of the island can 'cure'..but that he can never leave.. ..im not sure about the Jack part though..i mean, IS Jack that good? I mean wouldnt they have their own doctors and scientists at hand? ..Maybe though..cant rule it out.

I agree that the sickness does exist..though im not convinced by the idea that only a few of the Others can enter the Swan area because they are immune to it - Ben didnt seem to hesistate at sending Ethan to that side of the island..it could easily have been Goodwin who he sent there (if he had been standing to the other side of him), in which case im not sure being immune was a consideration..?

Hehe, thanks CG. Yeah, thats a good point..hopefully Damon and co will come over here from time to time for a UK perspective on lost we have many good thoughts and idea's on the show. Plus we'll only be 4 days behind, they must get bored with just US feedback ..maybe they need a "bigger picture"

I really do think it's Ben with the tuma now. I can't imagine Tom having one (he's awfully active and hasn't really shown enough compassion for the storyline to sensibly pick him out as the guy Jack helps).

What's more, it seems Ben is trying to get the Losties help through almost any means possible. We definatly saw a very cold and calculating Ben last night, i think he'd go to any length, almost, to save his own ass.

indeed i agree with this theory and when i saw the scene where jack said the x-ray had a tumor on it i immedietly thought it was ben's :P and im not just saying that 2 sound clever

Ben acted quite strange in this episode i felt. At first he was very concerned over the welfare of Colleen..then during the operation and once it was confirmed that she had died, he looked very 'controlled' didnt he? I dont put this down to a lack of compassion..rather that he was very impressed with Jack? Not sure why because he didnt save her. Unless he was impressed by the fact that Jack didnt try to bargain with them before trying to save her? Does he feel that he can get Jack to do anything as long as someone needs fixing?
