Matthew Abaddon - Current Impressions

I know there was one of these in the episode thread several episodes ago but I thought this was appropriate.

• He recruited Naomi, Daniel, Miles, Charlotte and Frank.
• He visited Hurley at Santa Rosa.
• He visited Locke at the hospital.
• He has claimed to be an attorney for Oceanic Airlines.

What do you think of him - do you like him, dislike him are currently unsure of his real agena, if indeed there is one.

I'm really not sure at the moment. I think he's alot like Ben with the fact he'll put an idea in your head. I don't trust him but at the same time I do?

I think he is quite friendly looking actually, he seems nice. He helped Locke stay positive and to make more out of his life even though he was in a wheelchair, though he definitely scared Hurley out of his wits.

He definitely has an agenda and it will be great to discover what it is in future episodes/Seasons.

Spooky and confusing. I can't pin down which side he's working for, if any - he's tried to influence Locke, Hurley and the freighter crew at various times. Perhaps he's working for something above and beyond any of the individual 'sides' we've seen thus far ... a representative of the island itself or something, or fate, or time, trying to get all the errant game pieces back into their proper positions on the board?

I agree with you Reed and I think he might be a good guy in some sotr of a way, maybe even working for Ben

I like this idea. He could be the Human-form of the Island for example - which sounds crazy. Perhaps he is along the lines of Richard Alpert; "timeless". A Puppet-Master of sorts. I wonder if Ben or Widmore know of him, presumably Widmore must?

Possibly, though that works against his recruting of the Freighter people. Unless he chose the wrong people for the job, i.e. is working undercover.

Did he put Keamy and co on the freighter or was he only responsible for Faraday, Frank and co? Because the freighter crew definitely seems divided into malicious and not-so-bad.

Well I recall Naomi slamming his choices; which were Miles, Frank, Charlotte and Daniel. So I am not sure who recruited Keamy and his men though I would imagine it was Widmore himself perhaps?

Yes, I think you're right, which means that Abaddon might not be working against Ben after all - I don't think the four you mentioned are exactly on the same side as Keamy and, by extension, Widmore (though Miles at least seems to be a bit of a loose cannon - and even he offered Ben a potential way out).

I think it looks like Miles, Frank, Charlotte and Daniel are there for a different purpose to keamy and his men and maybe they are there to help the island. I always thought that Frank was supposed to be on the island anyway with the losties from the beginning as he should of been flying the plane and he is now there for a bigger purpose.

I'm not sure what to think of him. He seems okay, but he's very mysterious too. I get the feeling he works for Widmore.
I'm not the best judge of charcter though. When Keamy first appeared, I thought he seemed like a good guy.
