Well Sun's pregnant..YAY! ..or is she? ..and even IF she is can we be really sure that it's poor old's Jins? I mean Sun and Jae did seem pretty close.. ..plus there are OTHER possibilities h34r:

I think its Jins, Sun isn't the sort of person that would lie.

Hmm, [for Jin's sake i certainly hope so!] but her reaction when she was hugging him..what was that all about? ..guilt perhaps?

Also, you say that Sun isnt the sort of person that would lie..i'd have to disagree..she lied to Jin about her speaking English..aswell as keeping other things from him, like the fact that he can't have children. I'd rank her right up there with Kate on the deceit stakes.

ye i suppose, and she could be scared of him getting angry again if she did tell him the truth because Jin goes completly mental

Yeah Jin does fly off the handle quite a bit! I was reading the Korean translations though and some of the times that it appears he's angry or acting aggressively is just down to the translation and how the viewer misinteprets his body language etc. I suppose alot does get lost in translation afterall!

But yeah, even so, he isnt the calmest person on the island and i suppose Sun must be a bit worried about how he'd respond. Still not a good excuse to lie but i suppose she's perpetuated the situation and so now it's hard for her to get out of the habbit.

I blame Mr Paik for much of this..he's got a lot to answer for in my opinion. I mean, even his own daughter doesnt lappear to like him!

I often wondered what she had done to make her think getting to this island was perhaps punishment. Back in S1. Can't remember the exact words.

We haven't seen her do anything major, have we? OK, could be a cultural thing, so just thinking of leaving her husband is very bad in Korea, whereas killing her stepfather doesn't seem to be giving Kate any sleepless nights.

Why am I bringing this up? Well, because its related to "do we trust her" and right now I'd say yes but there is a voice in my head saying "you will change your mind once you have seen "what Sun did" in S3 (or S4, or...)

Yeah, i remember her saying something along those lines and i always found it intriguing. At the time i thought that perhaps they had a child and lost it..and that Mr Paik blamed them for [in his view] 'not looking after his grandchild'..and so he arranged for them to be sent to the island for punishment. I forgot to mention that i believe Mr paik is involved in the island at some level since there are certain 'clues' [imo] in E1.6 that make me think that his power and influence stretch beyond South Korea and all the way to the Hanso Foundation..[similarly with regards to Christian imo].

Anyhoo, having seen TWT it's pretty clear that they didnt lose a child..however i still think that Sun saying that had something to do with the baby they couldnt have..or perhaps she feels that she's being punished because she cheated on Jin with jae?

Ah yes, I think Sun was talking to Shannon/Claire in Exodus when she spoke about being on the island as punishment?

At the moment I'm more inclined to believe that she is actually pregnant and the father is Jin's. However I do think that she was more than just good freinds with Jae, and I have a nagging feeling that Mr. Paik/Hanso/Dharma is involved in the pregnancy somehow.

But I agree with hundredand8 in that although Sun lied about speaking English she does appear trustworthy at the moment, but I'm preparing myself for a Sun revelation next season that will change everyone's opinion of her...

Yeah, although her expression could be interpreted to be relief in the fact that they can now have a child or confusion in the fact that she's baffled as to how it happened..but i agree..i reckon that her expression signalled guilt, perhaps illustrating that it's not Jin's child!

But she has never met sun even if by chance the others had gone to the beach before the losties woke up, only Ethan was ordered to go and even he wasnt spotted at the crash site.
