One of the benefits as a C4 viewer arriving one week late for the E4 discussions I thought was that at least the cross-overs that for some reason I always miss would be pointed out to me.
But nope. Apparently there wasn't any. Unless we count Rose and Locke at the airport. Well, then I guess we better remember that faith healer bloke for later.

lol I would say Locke and Rose at the airport was a pretty significant cross-over actually as its the only one any of them even acknowledge remembering!

I agree with Mantis - i reckon the Rose/Locke thing is pretty significant ..both in terms of serving a purpose for flashback and island events.

True. And very significant that Rose knows Locke used to be in a wheelchair, and the other way round.
But its like - an hour before the flight? Not exactly a cross-over is it, by that time they had both bought the ticket, had checked in and were getting on Flight 815. I have my eyes set for the faith healer. Wouldn't it be interesting if Locke went to see him at some point? He had mainly crutches to decorate his place, didn't he? And maybe this is where Locke got his idea from that "this is his destiny". Maybe the faith healer gave him the same speech as he gave Rose?

I aggree that the faith healer will turn up again. I think that Locke would be too obvious. Could it be someone like Hurley (for his eating disorder/depression) or libby for whatever was wrong with her.
Knowing lost, it will be a character that we never even knew was ill!! |

If its revealed in Losts last series, then it will contribute to pulling all strings together if its Locke. Otherwise I agree. If it happens in S3, it'll be Eko or Ana-Lucia or someone.

I don't think Sydney airport counts as cross-over. It must be fairly typical for passengers on a flight to see each other at check-in and in the departure lounge.
EG. doesn't Ana Lucia mention the fuss Jack makes at check-in? Sayid must remember asking Shannon to watch his bag (and why did he do that? it was only a small bag, why couldn't he keep it with him?). Hurley bumped into all sorts of people on his way to the airport. The only significant thing about Rose and Locke was that Rose saw Locke in his wheelchair (nobody else did because Locke was carried on board early), and Locke saw Rose's medication (nobody else except Bernard knew about that). |

One of the most intriguing aspects of Lost, for me, was just how Locke got such great faith and resolve? I mean, from what weve seen of his pre-island life he had taken many knocks..people had abandoned him, trampled on him, left him and conned him - not a good life, right? And yet..even before his legs were 'fixed' we find Locke so certain..so sure of his purpose..his 'destiny'.."Dont tell me what i cant do dammit..this is my destiny..im supposed to do this..dont tell me what i cant do!!" [something like that] - those were he words to the tour operator who wouldnt let him go on the Walkabout. So...seeing as this was the most recent point at which weve seen pre-island Locke..just HOW did him become so sure of his "destiny"? A dream maybe? Some wacky-paste induced vision? I think you could be right..i think that he may have gone to a healer..maybe Isaac..maybe someone else..someone who told him that he MUST go to Australia? But one thing is certain..something ..or someone gave Locke a solid resolve..which he certainly didnt have after Helen left him or Anthony conned him once more.... Im thinking that the likes of Isaac and Mr Malkin are Hanso referrers. Acting as a real-world referral system to Hanso Foundation. ![]()

This Rose acknowledging that she saw Locke in his wheelchair got me thinking and whilst this is a slight tangent, I still feel it's worth questioning. In the scene where Locke and Rose are talking ("Your in my spot"
a lot is revealed about Rose's understanding of their position on the island. I was wondering if her acceptance of their position is some kind of reward; allowing her to remember to give her greater understanding because she accepts their position on the island? And I'll carry this theorising on later if that's OK because I gotta split. Catch y'all later x |

Come on Rocco if you were in a wheel chair and then crashed on an island and survived and could walk wouldn't that give you an enormous amount of faith! Wouldn't you think wow this must be my destiny ! Im not suprised why Lockes faith grew so must and im also not suprised why his faith is now dwindling.
I think HG's ultimate purpose is to knock Lockes faith and so far he is doing a good job! |

All of which begs the question - how comes he was so certain he had destiny..because at that stage his legs hadnt been 'fixed'..
