Maggie Grace as Alice in Wonderland!

I just come across this, i dont know if i want it to be true though! -

You know that “Alice in Wonderland” movie that Sarah Michelle Gellar’s been attached to for a while? Yeah? Well seems the Vampire Slayer’s no longer going down the rabbit hole – they’ve found a new Alice, and strangely enough, she’s not half the name that Gellar is.

Maggie Grace, best known as [the now deceased] Shannon on TVs “Lost”, is now in taks. Ironically, Grace just worked with Gellar – on the film “Suburban Girl”.

Page Six says Gellar was always director Marcus Nispel’s ‘second’ choice for the movie. I can’t imagine Grace, whose hardly a name and whose only other major movie role was in the disastrous “The Fog”, would’ve been his first pick all along, though? Then again, maybe she was, and maybe she was too busy with “Lost” to do it at the time. I don’t know. But something smells very “I wanted Reese Witherspoon but I suppose I’ll take Sarah Michelle Gellar instead… No, wait… that girl from Lost, get her!”.

The flick, based on the video game “American McGee’s Alice”, picks up Alice's tale a few years after her first adventures in Wonderland. She's now a disturbed young woman mourning the death of her parents as she returns to the land of talking animals and the wicked Queen of Hearts.

I take it shes playing a 20 something year old Alice then? Not even Gellar could pull off a teenage Alice.

i dont know just a troubled young woman, i heard she was supposed to be 17, but i guess they can just change that!

well Maggie will no doubt shine in the role. I agree shes not a star name but these days I don't watch films because of who's in it only on how good the film is.

oh i didnt realise, this isnt the normal Alice in Wonderland, Alice is crazy, the picture of her on Wikipedia has her holding a bloody knife lol!

Also she has brown hair so Maggie dont have to go back blonde, if she does do the movie!

i loved teh cartoon of alice in wonderland and i've read the book twice, or it might have been the other one. i'm not usre

but i think Maggie will be fantabulous XD

Ooooh I liked this game, it was well underrated.
Should be good.

Oh...I was going to say I could really imagine her as a grown up Alice from the Alice in Wonderland most of us was thinking off but as it's a suicidal Alice with a knife then I guess only time can tell

wow if she gets this role, she really will have the breakthrough she deserves.. I mean it's a big production, at least 50 Mio $ Budget and it will be screened all over the world!!

well i wouldnt get too excited about the film, its been in production since 2001 LOL, and now the director has signed onto a nother project, so wee either getting a new director or the films going to be put on hold for even longer!

I allready knew bout the movie when SMG was still attached to it. Marilyn Manson was even considered to be filming it ..
just hope he won't direct if it really comes to it.
