I wondered why one of her eyes was never shown totally in one camera shot like the makers did with the other main characters at the beginning of their centric episode. Anyone knows ?

It used to be a 'centric-episodic' thing, if I remember correctly. But after about half the (1st?) season it seemed to become pretty random. (I can't quite remember off the top of my head though...)
Oh, here you go: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Eye It was, obviously, a big season 1 'thing'. And obviously they went with Boone for Hearts and Minds EDIT: Curiously, off the top of my head, none of the 'main-eye-centrics' were killers before they came to the Island. Where as the likes of Sawyer, Kate, Sayid... all having their fair share of centric episodes have killed people pre-island and haven't had a closeup eye shot...

Perhaps the moment they have an eye close-up - something is happening to them? Maybe the island is awkening something in them, which in turn makes them remember past events which then affects their on-island actions for that particular episode. This could very well link to Jacob's doing because we also saw a close-up of his eye and he is not a typical character in Lost. But to answer the thread question, I would have to go with what Kennindra47 said.

Either way, all I know is what I've seen on the show... Obviously. Jack Locke Sun Claire Boone Michael Jin Aaron Desmond Juliet Locke Claire None of them killed pre-island, if memory serves. Just an observation ![]() The only person on that list that (we know of) which could be debatable is Desmond, Jin (both previously in the military..) and Jack (as a doctor, people have died at his hands...). But, from what I can remember, we've not seen any of those people murder anyone (pre-Island) up to this stage EDIT: And I'm referring to the information provided in the link of my first post. If that wasn't clear ![]()

And Boone would also be debatable. He felt responsible for the death of his childhood nanny Theresa. |

Re: Shannon, I really don't know why she didn't get an 'eye-shot' She probably died before they realized (if there's actually a reason for the 'eye-shots' and it's not just an iconic symbol of some sort...)

I think the real reason Shannon didn't have an eye shot was because her centric was in season 2... which only had one eye shot at the very start of it.
Probably because it focused more outwardsly towards the island itself, rather than inwardly towards the character.

yes, either that or they simply forgot it.
They could've start her episode in 2x06 simply with an eyeshot, because s.th. happened to her in Season 2.. She saw Walt and wanted to help him because she knew how it's like to be left alone. |

could it be that they feel guilty/bad about someones death Jack - that woman's (who he snogged) dad Locke - could feel bad for not helping that lad who came to see him because anthony cooper was dating his mum and then he died Sun - ????? Claire - her mum - i know she not techincally dead Boone - his nanny Michael - ????? Jin - he could feel bad slightly responsible for Sun boyfriend death Aaron - he wasn't around pre-island so don't see how he fits in Desmond -????? Juliet - ????? |
