Shannon was cut down in her prime. Okay she had a rough last few years because of the ice queen step mother and a thick step brother but she had so much kindness to offer. We saw glimpses of this with Sayid that she can really care when shes happy. She also helped kids learn Ballet - something she must have had a passion for.

Compare that to Kate who has caused her boyfriend to get shot, blow up her dad, robbed a bank need to go on?

Everyone things Shannon was the nasty b1tch but the past never lies. Kate is horrible and should have been the one to have been shot and killed but in life its the nice people that suffer the most.

No, she was returning to her former self with Sayid.

Everyone she loved left her and she was robbed of any stability. She wanted that internship but was not given the money. She was basically thrown on a street so she had to fend for herself.

She could of robbed a bank, shot people or blown up her mum but she didn't - all she did was con her step brother Boone who has the intelligence of a cabbage.

Poor Boone, she should have just taken his money when he offered it instead of conning him repeatedly for the new few years.

Shannon did start being nice again but only since Boone died (and after trying to kill Locke!), guilty conscience I guess :P

I agree it would have been good to let her continue developing rather than let AnaL brutally murder her just when she gets something interesting to do.
