POLL: Do you miss Shannon?

[to me] it seems like just the other episode that Shannon died [yet it was 12 eppy's ago!]..im not sure what this tells me about my feelings towards her. But do you miss her character?

I miss her. She was quite funny at times. Not to mention she was hot!

I do miss Shannon. The main reason was that her death was rushed and served no real purpose. I'd be happy if she was killed by an other or monster or something but to be shot by an evil witch just was not appropriate. Maggie knew she was leaving but had no work lined up - in fact she was paid for the whole of season 2 and attended award celebrations for Lost in 2006.

The cast were sad to see her go and begged producers to not kill her off but those two morons Linderof and Cu®se thought she was redundant character. JJ would never have killed her off he liked Shannon. Naveen said in an interview that he became close to Maggie and was really sad to see her go. I know Josh and Matt were upset too (the men obviously liked her LOL!)

I had the lucky chance to meet Maggie and she really is a lovely sweet girl. You can forget she is only 22 at times. She laughs at herself and is very talkative and flirty. I did get an autograph and kiss (I have not washed that cheek since h34r: )

I just wish her death had not been rushed. To die in mid season would have been better. In fact better still kill that snake headed Kate off instead LOL!

As much as it seems shallow, every show need the hot tottie. There is no one left. Kate is awful although may appeal to lesbians or spotty 10 year olds, Claire is so whiney (MA BAYBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE), Rose is for the elderly, Libby and Danielle are manky, Ana is satan only worse.

I want a new babe!!!!

I dont miss Shannon the character, she was far too nasty to Boone when all he had ever done was try and help her. But in a strange twist after Boone died she was the only link back to him, now I dont think anyone is going to mention him again and we are unlikely to see either Shannon or Boone again which is quite sad. Unless in some bizarre twist Jack suddenly remembers that Boone planned his wedding.

There is always a chance of them both popping in up in airport flashbacks or in a flashback with a character they nevr met like Bernard or Eko.

It depends if they left on good terms and if they are not busy I suppose. I would wish the islands healing powers would of saved Shannon.

I must admit i was suprised to see her get killed off so early..though i wasnt suprised that they ended her tenure..apart from the incest thing and the Walt thing i dont think she had much left to give..?

Also..i didnt know that JJ didnt sanction her death..who died and put Lindeloff and Cuse[sp] in sole charge, lol! Or was that when JJ was directing MI3? I suppose its a case of, 'when the cats away'...

When did you meet Maggie..i didnt know this..was it recently?

Maggie does look quite flirty..i think that comes across on camera..she also seems like a nice woman in real life..though again im only speculating.

Personally thought i think weve already got a babe..Ana Lucia..what more could you want. Also Kates not too bad on a good day..she fluctuates in the 'babe stakes' if you ask me. Also, i think Libby's meant to be the new replacement for Shannon in terms of tottie.

JJ has no creative input any more. He never did with Alias after season 2 either - look what happened to that show!!

Yes I saw Maggie in July she was doing an signing with Jorge Garcia. His queue was shorter

I only had about 2 minutes with her but I think she liked me h34r: Must be my dashing good looks!!

She is nothing like Shannon which I would come to expect. I'm not just saying shes nice because I like her she really likes the appreciation from fans (Jorge was nice too).

I heard rumours that Foxy treats his fans like scum so never judge a book by its cover.

I think Cynthia is in her 40's.

The problem with JJ is that he leaves shows in "good" hands.

WIth Alias he left it with some bloke that created Season 3 which was the first nail in the Alias coffin

With Lost he only supervisored the first season before going on to do MI3

He is now in talks to resurrect Star Trek.

JJ is very good at bringing shows to the screen and his ideas are excellent. I'm sure they always stick to his original idea but remember they are usually just premises not an actual script for 5 or 9 seasons. He always leaves his programmes in other peoples control and this is when things start to go bad. Damon Linderof has been there since the start so is obviously keen to stay on track but he makes the decisions with Calton "Curse". And one of his first things he did was ditch Shannon and bring in new characters.

Maybe JJ will hire Maggie for the new Star Trek!
