May I request you enlighten us as to what game it was advertising? That way you get to keep your points.

Ok... since you guys aren't willing to look harder... I guess I'll say it.
It's Viewtiful Joe. It's a game in which the player has the ability to slow down or speed up the flow of time at will. Sounds like Walt to me. :P Also, the back of the book is clearly seen in one of the pictures inside of the DVD for for first season... at least, in region 1.

Btw, I am pretty sure I have heard of a game like that, only it was called something else. But it is going back many years so I cannot remember. I am also tempted to donate 1 of my points to you for giving us the answer. Although I suppose if you are nice, you may have all my points Malion.

No thanks Reed, you don't have to donate me anything.
![]() There are several games that allow the user to alter the flow of time. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask, Time Shift, Prince of Persia, Timesplitters.... the list goes on. Viewtiful Joe is set like a movie or tv show. Where the character can use "VFX" a type of special effects technice in order to perform matrix type moves. This includes the slowing down or speeding up of time. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viewtiful_Joe As you can see by the picture on the link... he does kind of look like a power ranger/transformer... as Brad stated. ![]()

Ahh, Prince of Persia - that is the one. I remember the adverts for it several years back. Strange why so many games have the same concept. The character in the picture looks like The Flash, if you remember him.

Yes, I know flash.
The reason so many games have time elements is because lots of movies do too... Time travel is evident in almost all forms of science fiction. Back to the Future, Star Trek, Groundhogs Day... I really can't think of that many right now... but there are plenty. :P

But those games are not based on said movies - though I suppose time travel can be incorporated into games in a variety of ways, regardless. In other words, it is a good way of creating a good game even if not based on a movie. You can add De Ja Vu and The Butterfly Effect.

Oh, I thought you meant... The Flash... as in the superhero that runs fast.
I didn't know there was a live-action show about him. And I didn't say the games were based on the movies, just that time travel happens a lot in all sorts of fiction, not just games.

Oh I know, but I just found it strange how so many games involve time travel that are not based on a movie. My point was being that it is such a popular concept, many games have obviously decided to use it.

I was reffering to the Flash... super hero... in the justice league with Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, etc.
You asked "Who played him" and I wasn't aware that anyone played him, other than voice actor wise on "The Super Friends"
