What if Ana hadnt intervened and Sayid HAD indeed shot and killed Henry?

I mean, wouldnt that have changed everything...

The Others would presumably have not struck a deal with Mike...Mike probably wouldnt have got his son back...Ana and Elizabeth wouldnt have been murdered.. Sayid would no longer have a living creature to aim his rage at...etc etc

I just find it kinda ironic that Sayid needs Henry alive in order to feel justiifed in his actions. If he had actually killed him then i suspect that he wouldve ended up regretting 'the man he's become' and once again gone a journey of selfish self-discovery

...whislt Jack and co mopped up the blood. Oh and the irony? well that comes with the fact that Sayid almost killed Henry.

In actual fact it wouldve been interesting to see Sayids reaction had he killed Henry..because it would be useful to contrast his response to Charlie's, when he murdered Ethan under not too disimilar circumstances.. I do suspect that Sayid wouldve regretted it..so perhaps this owuldve told us alot about Charlie also..considering he hardly battered an eyelid after his massacre of Ethan. And to think all hell broke loose when Ana put 6 bullets into Jason..how we forget Charlie's 6 bullet massacre of Ethan..

Jason afterall hasnt been missed

Anyway, going back to the others..and assuming that HG is their operations leader or the head of the others we have so far seen. Well, they wouldve lost their leader..which would perhaps mean that Tom (aka Zeke) or Mrs K (aka Debs?) wouldve assumed the position - and no offence to either of those 2 but no-one can quite do 'lovable rogue' like our Henry!

'Team Others' would be in turmoil - no leadership. I'm sure Henry is the mastermind of many of the Others' island activities.

Sayid was emotionally unstable when he was going to shoot Henry, so he would have regreted it. Especially as I feel the Others will turn out to be more good than bad, so Sayid would have regreted even more so.

Mike would possibly have gotten Walt back as usual because the Others would have sent Mike to get the 'foursome'.

Ethan was a plane out son of a ..... errrm, he was a bad dude, so Charlie did not care less! But Sayid would have been deeply disturbed by the fact that maybe he killed a good man who was telling the truth.

Didn't the incident with Sayid/Henry/Gun happen after the grave robbery? In which case, Henry could possibly still be telling the truth, in that, he travelled in the balloon with his mate [real Gale] but eventually killed him.

I think the Others would have been shocked to hear that Henry had died, and that the Losties had the guts to kill him.

Yeah..something tells me the others dont think much of the losties. They respect them im sure..but they dont half have a superiority complex (imo).

I think they wouldve been very shocked to hear of Henry's demise..they would probably have witnessed it on the CCTV? I wonder if that has sound btw..

Thats a crazy idea but one which is most interesting! That type of thing has been known to exist..particularly in the animal kingdom..and afterall, the others are "animals" (according to Ms Cortez)

The thought of Sayid being a leader is one which doesnt fill me with joy though

..I mean, i used to think Jack was a bad leader..but Sayids another level!

Bit of a wild thought here but what if this is Sayid's 'test' on the island... what if Henry didn't get captured to plant the seeds of Dharma Doubt into Locke's mind but to test Sayid, and also possibly Ana, to see if they could kill again or try to kill again.

Ana didn't kill again, she said that she couldn't do it anymore and she was killed soon afterwards.

Well Henry wanted her dead, so I doubt it. As for Sayid, I'd say the Others don't think too highly of him either because he's a torturer.

As for Ethan, I wish they'd tortured him!!

I was thinking that maybe Sayid would have been included on Michael's list if he'd killed Henry...

But then *IF* there had still been a list, it would have been difficult for Michael to persuade everyone to go with him - without the "look what Henry did - we must make him pay!" thing, would they have gone? I doubt Hurley would have...
