The Others - Best Season?

So which season was the best?

Season one where they were heaped with mystery? Running around the jungle, stealing pregnant women, children, blowing up rafts and deciding to kill Charlie last

Season two where we learnt more about them, and, of course, the introduction of Henry, and, later on, Ben (as well as Alex)

Season three where they became modernised, living in Othersville with the compicated relationship between Juliet and Ben and actually Other flashbacks!

i liked both series 1 and 3 the best, can't choose between the two though.

series 2 for me wasn't as interesting.

Season 2 was probably the weaskest season overall for Lost let alone the others.

While it was great to see more of the background and purpose of the Others in S3 I still liked them a bit better in S1, because they were so much more mysterious and dangerous back then where we didn't have much of an idea about them at all.

But S2 only really got going imo when Henry got caught and brought into the hatch, and when Micheal had an on-island flashback to their fake camp.

Looking back on it Michael Emmerson definatly saved Lost from the Sophmore Slump - even though at the time the 'is he/ isn't he' did get quite annoying (for me at least)

But he even made Jack have a (slightly) interesting part in the show

Season 3, just because we know more about them :P

Season 1 was best because they were 20x more interesting!

Season 1, because life was so much more simple back then. And the Others were terrorising the Losties, unlike now, when 'certain individuals' seem to have forgotten that

lol, seriously though. Mystery is an attractive quallity to have, in a group of people. And I agree that Mr Emerson saved season 2, I've always said that. That being said, I don't think season 3 Ben is anywhere near as entertaining as season 2 Benry was, because of the same reasons the Others have lost their appeal.

They were so mysterious and seemed so powerful and scary in seasin 1. But now that we know more about them, they don't seem very powerful.

So I think season 1 was the best season for the others.

I thought that too until I watched it again month ago. Maybe because it hasn't too much "going on", like they are like "stagnate" in S02, the truth about the Island isn't too much revealed and everything is static - only flashbacks and stories that aren't relevant to the main story about the Island and the Others. But still there a lot of significant little things that are quite important in S02. My favorite scene is when Locke sees that map on the door. I was - breathless!

That's the point of all - they shouldn't have revealed the Others, but still it was inevitable! I liked them more when they were just a rumor and a delusional story of a "crazy French chick"!

I loved the mystery that surrounded the others during season 1, but I loved the intro of Henry Gale (Ben) in season 2. In season two we learned more about the others but they were still a bigger mystery than in season 3. So I went with season 2.

Season 3 , As they pretty much made the season , It was brilliant having great new characters and storylines , although Season 1 a close second as they wher so so mysterious and creepy, You didn't even know if they where human !
