Well they cant say that he was testing locke to see if he would kill him. I mean, Richard told him that he was trying to humiliate him but when locke comfronted him about it, ben said why would he want to do that?? Also he left locke on his own with his dangerous father.

I also thought it was mean how ben played a sick mind game on locke by trying to get him to kill cooper by saying he may have been wrong about locke being special, Knowing that locke strives this.

Edit - Dont get me wrong, the traitor, i mean locke has really got on my nerves. I understand that he couldnt kill cooper because of all the stuff he had done to him, and for that i feel for him. But dragging him all the way back to the black rock and getting sawyer to kill him just so he could become an other.... Is wrong!!

Ben says when people join them on the island they must of their own free will

Did cooper get there by free will

Dude..Neither Ben nor Locke are the ones with blood on their hands..i dont understand this thread at all..

If you're referring to Ben telling Locke to kill Cooper..havent we known Ben's style for long enough now? Remember the Bunny incident? Ben was merely testing Locke..allowing his to find his own purpose..and Locke past with flying colours - i see no blood on the old boys hands..do you?

I find it strange how Sawyer has yet again escaped condemnation..and yet the two non-killers are the ones who are getting lambasted - whats up with that?

Well theres some issue here as to whether Cooper was brought to the island by Locke..or whether he is indeed in hell/purgatory (or something of that order) or whether Mittelos brought him there. I think it's unclear at this point, though i seriously wouldnt rule out the 'box' just yet..

No he doesnt - have comndemed both him, Locke and Ben for this act. In many threads, partculary foucsing on Sawyer. Especailly in rip mr cooper - not and the blood on their hands one.

Reading your thread tho esn, you seem to have focused your rage on ben and Locke..whats the deal?

Sure, you may not like them..but Sawyer *killed* a man ..doesnt that deserve an element of 'focus'?

I'll tell you whats sick..ordering the brutal attack of a woman..cornering a lone woman and threatening to kill her..murdring a man with a rusty chain That..is sick.. I dont understand all of this Ben-hate..whats the deal..like really..whats the deal? Did Ben kill Cooper? Or is Cooper just another statistic?

A life is a life and as much as i dont care for him, im not willing to lose my civilised norms and allow a man get away with murder. He should be getting slaughtered for what he did imo

Bringing it all down to who pulled the trigger is too simplistic in my view. Technically the militants in Eko's home town didn't kill the old man - Eko did. It's still the militants who deserve the full impact of the blame.

Well... not much, no. I'm a bit confused about that. Her death was no conscious intent on Sawyer's part... his crime in that instance was being careless about a gun. But Ben and Locke both deliberately pushed for Cooper's death - it wasn't a side-effect of an unrelated misdemeanour. They wanted him to be killed, as the militants wanted the old man to be killed (surely you'll agree at least that the militants are guilty of much more than 'being careless with a gun').

If you need to have Sawyer blamed for Ana's death before you'll admit Locke and Ben's parts in Cooper's death, though, that's almost a good bargain....
