The other 48 days was one of those abstract eppys I loved sooo much. Its just different, inspiring, reavling soo much and just... wow. That intro of the tail end coming down was just amazing!

Anyone else adore this episode?

i hated it when i first watchd it, then i got the dvds and re-watched them over christmas and was like

I LOVED how this episode began with the plane coming crashing down. At first I knew it would be a tail section episode but I just adore how it began at the beginning.

I must admit, I didnt like the other 48 days, when I first watched it. Cause I wanted it to get on with the story, what was going on, rather than a flashback, so t'was all frustrating.

Watching back though, tis class

That's how I felt at first. I loved the start, seeing the plane actually crash though. And it was the first time we really saw the others, in their rags, capturing people. Looking back, it was a really good episode.

I do like 48 days very much but I fell that it was placed at the incorrect moment. If felt that it lost impact because we knew who survived.

Having it placed after Adrift would have been better (obviously without the shannon dying part lol). We would then not know if Bernard, Eko, Libby, Cindy survived etc... or that Goodwin was going to die whether he was a lostie or other.

The Shannon dying was dragged out over three episodes as a result which only frustrated viewers.

I LOVE this episode. It's one of the best ever (imo). It is just so abstract, like you said and it gives us character drive, island mythology (or simply island-ology), tension, action, aswers, questions, Others, Jesus Sticks, Emotion, Hatches, A wet Ana-Lucia, Faith...basically, it gabe us everything, lol!

For me this is in my top 5 or 6 epsiodes of all time. Makes me appreciated even more, just how grand S2 was

Definatly one of my favourite episods of Lost, possibly one of the best higlights of Season 2. It was one of the best scripted, introducing new characters, telling us a stroy we basically already knew, but managed to make it fresh and highly enjoyable.
