Revamped Profile Page & Features The member profile page has been totally redesigned from the ground up - this is to accommodate all of the new features. It is now contains a 'tabbed' interface and is far cleaner, interactive and customisable. Individual profile field content can now be displayed alone in the blocks in the right column, as well as in the 'About Me' tab. You can also change the colours of your individual profiles. Here's an early example without much customisation done to it: new_profile.JPG You really have to play around with it tho in order to have a good look at what you can now do with your profiles.

Member-Created Social Groups You can now create your own Social Groups here on the forum. Perhaps you have an interest that you'd like to share with others? It's a great way to connect with others on the site and share common interests or passions, whilst being in the safe environment of our forum. You'll find the Social Groups option on the left block in your User CP: new_sg.JPG Once you have clicked on the link, you'll then see all of the available public Groups created by members: new_sgtwo.JPG Here you can enter them and see the contents. new_sg3.jpg You can also have the option of joining groups. Once you have joined a group, you will be able to post messages in that group, upload pictures and other stuff. You can also create (start) a group and wait for others to join or send invites: new_sg4.JPG You may choose to make your group Public or Private. Anyone can see and join Public Groups, whereas Private Groups are hidden from other members, and only joinable via invitation. There's other stuff, but it's probably best if you play around with it yourself, if this kind of thing interests you.

Reciprocal Friendships This is just a fun way to add people to your friends-page, which displays your forum buddies on your profile. You can invite other members to be your friend/buddy, deny and break. To invite someone simply go to: User CP>Contacts & Friends>Type the name of the person you want to invite in the box and click the button. E.g. new_cf.JPG That person will then be sent a Friend Request Notification, and they can choose to accept or decline. If accepted, they will display on your friends page and you on theirs. They will also have a little cross by their name on the online list, when they're online (unless invisible then you can't see them anyway, of course). So go on, run out there into the fields and make friendships! ![]()

Thread Tagging Thread Tagging is an extra 'search' option, which allows you to add 'tags' before posting a new thread. These tags should be related to the thread in question, and allow members an additional search feature. The tags for that particular thread will appear at the bottom of the thread when viewing it (and in a sidebar block - coming soon), so people can click on those tags and it will automatically search for similar tags, thus showing you 'similar' threads at the click of your mouse. Here's a graphical illustration on how to 'tag' threads: here's an example of how it will appear (i used another set of tags for this example): You don't 'have' to create tags when posting a thread, but if you find this method of searching useful, and think others will too, then feel free to use them at your discreation. Just try to make your tags 'useful' and related to the content of your thread. (note. tags cannot be less than 2-letter words at the moment)

A Tag Cloud has now been added to the forum - just above the online list:
The tag cloud shows the most tagged/searched for phrases - giving you another great search feature.
