Moving to New Server - Lost Community Forums - Official Spoiler-free Lost Fansite

We'll be moving the site over to a new server at some point over the weekend. This is to improve the performance of the site and keep it inline with the various requirements that the forum software will need now and in the future. Basically it's a necessary move.

You experience some downtime, although i'll try to run the changes during hours when the board is not busy.

The server move has been delayed, but is still in the pipeline for the near future. However I will be closing the board in 5-10 minutes as yet another update is required for the board software. This one is important hence why i'm doing it now.

Edit: The board should be back open in 30-60 mins.

Okay, all done.

Everything should work fine, although there may be a few broken plugins. Please let me know if you experience anything odd or come across any broken features since this upgrade.

Ok, now that those two big upgrades are done, the next thing on the agenda is the actual transfer of the site to a brand new server.

We have outgrown our current server and I also think that we need a server which is faster, more powerful and able to handle higher loads, as well as better meet the specific requirement of the board software.

I hope to transfer the site over within the next 48 hours. I'm hoping it will all be done tomorrow (Thursday) with minimal downtime, but you never know.

So this is just a headsup, the site will be down during this time - it wont be tonight, but possibly tomorrow (hopefully not for very long).
