Default Spoiler Reminder

Time for a quick reminder on spoilers

Please remember that this is a spoiler-free forum. This forum prides itself on experiencing the show as intended by the creators - even if they themselves sometimes lose sight of the value of not being spoon-fed. The Lost Community enjoys being challenged and surprised by the twists and turns in the storyline.

Ideas and discussion should not allude to, hint towards nor advocate spoilers. The LC is officially anti spoiler sites (including the 'big one' which ruined the S3 finale for millions of people).

Being spoiler-free is a choice that was made when the forum started, and much like Jack, "we're not going back" - only we mean it

So please, enjoy the show, enjoy discussing it here, but please don't bring spoilers - that includes boasting about knowing spoilery stuff - be challenged, be amazed, be Lost.

We really don't want to have to warn, suspend or ban people for something so apparant in our rules, hence this post is just a reminder.

Thanks for reading.

It would appear that some of us are incapable of respecting board rules no matter how much emphasis is placed on their importance. I think staff have given enough gentle warnings - suspensions and bans for breach of rules are now in operation.

In order to maintain this 'safe haven', we (staff) must make hard decisions irrespective of board friendships. I also urge everyone to help us to maintain the spoiler-free nature of this site by reporting 'any' suspected spoiler/alluding.

To those who actively go seeking spoilers - I actively urge you not to, if this is your site of preference. This is for your own sake and for the sake of others who want to be spoiler-free. You WILL be found out if you attempt to use spoiler information to pass as a theory, or post. That is "cheating"..as i've said a million times before, there are spoiler sites out there who will happily have your 'spoon-fed' content. This is not such a site. Watching the ABC episode and then posting ideas from that episode BEFORE it has aired on Sky One (the pace we currently operate at) is not big or clever and it is becoming very apparant in some peoples posts. Don't do it. Just don't.

Unless we change the pace that we operate at, then ALL of your comments/content on this board should be organic and not derived from future episodes/knowledge of LOST which has not yet been aired on Sky One.

Yes, of course you may speculate, yes you may theorise - but there is a difference between using spoiler/future Lost knowledge and organic Lost theorising/coming up with ideas etc.

In order for the minds of others to not get polluted by those who advocate in spoilers, a hardline on spoilers will be enforced.

The same goes for mentioning that you download, stream, 'watch on the web' etc etc by illegal means. Not mentioning how you do it does not excuse you from the rules. I have gone out of my way to implement ways so that no-one need miss out, but it seems that some of us still do not READ rules and guidelines.

These rules and guidelines are here for a reason - please have the respect to observe and follow them. Come on..don't make our job harder.

This is the final reminder that will be posted on the above matters. Should you get moderated for breach of rules and guidelines, then you can only have yourself to blame.
