Forum Upgrade

Welcome back!

The forum has been down for the past 4-5 days because we were encountering too many errors and problems with the previous board software. This was affecting userbility and functionality..and that's not on

I therefore took the decision to do away with the previous software and upgrade to vBulletin - which is, in my opinion, pound for pound the best bulletin board software available. This process required the transfer of all posts, threads, forums, members, smilies, PM's etc etc (basically all data) from the old board and into this brand spanking new board. This is never a pleasant experience and it is wrought with danger (trust me!), however I finally managed to get everything imported and re-configured to the desired effect.

Of course if you're reading this in the backend of December you will notice that the forum isn't as 'jazzed-up' as it used to be - fear not, this will change. Over the next few days I will be customising the forum and hopefully have it looking a bit more like a LOST forum.

However, you will already find that you have ALOT more features available to you - I wont list them here, but you should notice that the functionality and userbility of the forum is far improved - and this will continue once I add relevant modifications and plugins.

Obviously some of you might take a while to get used to this new software, however it's not that different, just better. In time I hope you'll all agree. Should you experience any difficulties or problems with your posting experience or anything regarding the new software/features (etc), then please leave a post in the helpdesk - myself or one of the Moderators will assist you as soon as possible. Also, I will be posting a little overview of some of the basic features and functions of the new board software -I think this will be helpful for new and old members alike.

Finally, some of you may notice that there are a few duplicate posts in certain threads - this was one of the problems encountered during the import process. However this should only have affected the very latest prior to transfer threads, and I have deleted most of the duplicate posts. If you do notice extensive amounts of duplicate posts, please inform me.

Finally finally, if you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to make them, as always, in the Feedback Area.

All Members - PLEASE READ:

Due to the importation to new software all member passwords were not able to be imported. This means that you will have to reset your password. You can do this by following the instructions on the automated email that ALL registered members will shortly receive.

If you no longer have access to the email address you registered with OR if you did not provide a legitimate email address (one that you can access to receive emails), then I will have to manually do this for you. You will not be able to log into your account until you have a new password.

If you have not received a password reset email or do not have access to the email you registered with, then you can contact me here with your username and valid email address (one you can access).


Alternatively, if for some reason I have not responded to your email (give me at least a few hours) post in this thread as a guest (I have granted guest posting to this thread only) and let me know who you are and the email address which you would like your password sent to you. I will delete your email addy as soon as I have seen the post. I would only recommend doing this if you don't receive the password reset email and have exhausted all other means of contacting me (i.e. contact form).

*If you're a new member and haven't had an account with our community before then this doesn't apply to you and simply register for a new account.

Just to let everyone know - there are loads of settings and features from the previous board (and some new ones!) that I need to put back..this will take a few days, but you should notice previous/new features at your disposal during this time.
