LOST Petition: 'Spoiler-Silence'

Lost fans, friends, peers..

As we approach the final 48 episodes of what has been a remarkable experience, we must embrace these final episodes as if each were to be our last. Therefore we must ensure that those episodes are not ruined for us by those who use spoilers irresponsibly.

As a Spoiler-free LOST site(s) Lost-Play.com and the Lost Community UK must be forerunners in spreading the awareness of the pitfalls of spoilers. We do not wish to completely erradicate spoilers from those who wish to endulge in them - we do not wish to dictate - however, we wish to be in control of our own fates, of our own viewing experience. I encourage each and everyone one of you who, like me, are of the Spoiler-free persuasion.

There are many more like us out there, who tremble with fear each time we open our browser. We fear not only the SPOILERS, but those who seeks to spoil intentionally or those who are irresponsible with Spoilers.

LOST producers Damon Lindelof and Calton Cuse have themselves, urged LOST fans to live the moment and to not "ruin the viewing experience" - who are we not to take advise from the very creators of this show we all love so much?

I ask you..no, I emplore you to rise up, to make a stand for YOUR right to 'live the moment', to watch LOST untarnished and undiluted. Do not underestimate your power, stand my fellows for we must act now before it is too late. We do not want to end up like the many who were spoiled at the end of last season due to a few mindless souls who ravaged our brothers and sisters with spoilers.

Please spread awareness and show your support by signing the petition dubbed "Spoiler-Silence", named in honour of the 'radio silence' imposed by the LOST creators after spoilerisers tried to ruin their creative works last term.

This petition will be sent to every major LOST outpost on the Interweb..we are calling all Spoiler-Free LOST supporters. Please, sign your name and spread the word.

Cheers for the signage guys, a few people have asked me whats the point of doing a petition since these things rarely work. Well, I would argue that the previous petition of clarity that we did had an impact. But anyway this one is different..we're not fighting against an organisation..rather we're fighting against organised crime..the crime of those who use spoilers 'irresponsibly'. We do not wish to erradicate spoilers from those who enjoy them, but we're asing everyone..all LOST fans, to come together and show their 'support' for this movement, to support the LOST producers and the spoilerfree fans who want the show to be watched as intended by 'Darlton'. These last 3 seasons will have some of the best cultural experiences (it's way beyond 'TV' now) and those of us who are Spoiler-freedom fighters, want to watch the show undiluted.

This petition, I hope, will spread awareness, it will allow the LOST fans to show a collective front on the irresponsible usage of spoilers in our community (the entire LOST community) and it will weed out those who I recently learned spoiled the end game of S3 for so many. If I had maliciously discovered that curve ball before TTLG had aired I would've been so angry. We do not want these malicious attacks to occur again..and we want all LOST fans to be able to enjoy the show AS THEY CHOOSE, without spoiling it for those who do not want to be spoiled.

So thanks for the support..we're facing a faceless opposition in the fight against spoilers, but should we get 5, 10, 20, or 200 signatures by February, those of us who have signed will know that we did our part to win the war on spoilers..we made a stand with our brothers and sisters and we did not cower nor hide.
