Please ensure that you read these rules and become familiar with them. Ignoring them may lead to warnings, suspensions, bans etc.

The rules below are not exhaustive, but I feel that these ones in particular need pointing out.

-Do not post any racist, homophobic, sexist, graphic, distastful content anywhere on the LC. This includes words and images. These things will not be tolerated and a this board is not the place for any of them. Supporting such acts also means that this is not the board for you - as with most forums, this is a place for like-minded people, not bigots.

If you're posting an image, make sure it is tasteful. Do not post links to inappropriate content - just because you didn't write/postthe orginal content, it doesn't mean that posting such links is ok.

-Do not flame other members or slaughter them. Do not use bad language against them or in general.

Remember, this board has custom bad word filters that flag all inappropriate words posted on the LC.

- Do not use the LC to advertise your own personal sites - particularly those which are in the same field as any of my sites. If you want to advertise your sites here you can either pay me money for advertising space, apply for affiliation or ask me directly whether it's ok.

I take this very seriously and bear in mind that i have alert filters for some sites that are advertised on this board, which also automatically change your advertised/SPAM site into one of my sites to protect against leeching. I also encourage people to notify me of any PM's that are either spam, advertising or a breach of the board rules etc.

If you want to gain members for your own sites then do what i suggested above and/or do the hard work like I have had to do rather than leech, as it is highly distastful, especially within a tight-knit community like this.

-Keep your signatures to a reasonable size. The sig rules are there for all to see. Having large sigs places more load on the server and therefore makes pages load slower and it makes the board look untidy. There is no reason to have a sig that is too big. If you need help resizing your sig, request it in the Multimedia section or in the helpdesk.

- Speaking of the Helpdesk, can I remind everyone that this area is for HELP and SUPPORT. It is not a chit chat area. It is an area for staff to offer support and help to members problems or requests etc. I would nearly always advise against members posting in this area if you're not the one with the problem as it just slows down any potential support or feedback that will be given. We do not want to read through posts and posts about chit chat.

-Chit Chat threads. If you're posting a thread on OT make sure that it has a point. If it is chit chat the it will be moved into the Chit Chat Forum. Furthermore threads which deviate drastically from the original topic will also be moved into OT. Basically keep threads ON TOPIC. If a thread 'drastically' deviates into something else then it's always best to start a new thread on that topic.

- 2nd Accounts. If you already have an account at the LC, then do not sign up for another one. If, for some reason, you're unable to access your account, contact myself and I will sort it out for you, don't go and create another account. I have ways of telling when this has happened.

- Do not post Lost spoilers. If it hasn't yet been shown on Lost, then it is classified as a spoiler. Do not use the spoiler tags to hide spoilers, since this is still a spoiler-free site. The spoiler tags are for other content.

- Respect the decisions of staff.

- Respect the views and opinions of others. I encourage hearty debate, but do not threaten or personally attack them or their families.

- Do not send me or any members of this board hate mail.

*Please bear in mind that all of the above will carry at least a 10% warn increase - though in certain areas (racism, homophobia etc) there will be zero tolerance.
