Has anyone seen these scenes yet. Apparently they are not as bad as they sound (having sex in Jack's tent) and would have been a better introduction to them.

I haven't seen them yet but apparently it explains that they are from the otherside of the beach not thrust upon us as they were in Orientation.

By the way, looks like theres about 12 deleted scenes to enjoy. Well 11 plus a long Jack/Sarah one!

But yeah, they were thrust upon us terribly. Now Maya and Alejandro from Heroes S2..that's how to introduce a pair!

I remember reading about that - it would have been a more imposing introduction. Honestly, I can't even remember how they were introduced

Can't really say it would have made them better characters though

they were inroduced with Nikki shouting at Hurley then Paolo saying something which made him sound stupid!

I think any deleted Nikki/Paulo scenes will be good to watch actually. Maybe it can somehow justify that they were on Lost for a reason! Usually deleted scenes are a bit boring, but some can be very interesting. I hope it saves Nikki and Paulo a little bit from hatred...

I'm quite looking forward to the box-sets special features. It sounds like there's loads of em!

I honestly didn't know their names until I saw their centric on Wiki and it said the names.
They really didn't get a proper intro... it should have been slower, with a lot of little cameos.... leading up to their proper intro centric.

Best ever new character introduction in a recent TV series has to be Alana in the 4400. This happens half way into S2.

She has the power to make people experience things as if they are real. She appears as Toms wife (only in his mind, understand), they spend the whole episode together as a couple showing their life all the way into relatively old age, but by the end they decide its all a fantasy and they go back to the real world. Now they have a memory of a life together, but of course the people around them, including Toms real son, have no idea and for them Alana is a total stranger.

yes I always laughed at Alana's introdction. Toms wife from another universe I used to say.

I stopped watching in season 3 and now season 4 is on Sky and I'm not sure she is in it anymore

I don't have Sky, only seen the DVDs. These tend to come out in July

So please don't talk about S4

Alana disappeared right at the end of S3 - in a white light, which means the people from the future took her back to the future.
