Well we all saw them get buried alive but I highly doubt that will be the last we've seen of them.

When Paulo was trying to bury the diamonds Locke said something along the lines of "Don't try to bury whatever your burying there as the tide will dig it up" Or whatever. Surely this is a hint towards the tide coming in and the sand eroding away.

Another idea is that they didn't attually get buried we saw Nikki's eyes open && the next thing we saw was the hole had been filled. If Nikki had her eyes open they surely Paulo had his open as he was bitten first. (Maybe it was a continuity error but I like the idea)

I've got to say I enjoyed this episode as it gave Paulo && Nikki a bit more depth. I did have more to say but I've totally forgot what it was

I don't see how they can have survived burial for any length of time - a few minutes at most, especially as they still didn't look capable of struggling. If they come back to life, it'll be as lame as Harold Bishop's return to Neighbours, frankly. But there is Locke's highly unsubtle hint. The only sensible interpretation I can come up with is that the graves will be uncovered (all of them, presumably - ick) and they see that the corpses have their eyes open and realise they can't have been dead. Nasty. Or Locke was burbling about the various ghosts or whatever they are.

maybe vincent will dig them up??? because dogs and other animals can sense whether things are alive or moving like a 6th sense right? but yeah... i think they might just survive otherwise there wouldn''t have been much point in having niki open her eyes at the ending.

Yeah because I do think that he knew they were alive when he pulled the sheet of them.
They are two pointless characters if they are dead as what questions have they answered or created?
Maybe the director will turn up in a few seasons?

their names have been removed from the credits for 3x15. SPeaks for itself really. The producers chose the easy solution IMO when they found out most US fans hated "PIkki". These are the same fans that go on and on bore us for centuries about Jate and Skate.....

It wouldn't surprise me if they popped up in a flashback or two later on, but I can't see them strolling down the beach brushing sand off themselves though...

Lol I remember just laughing when I first read that term over on the US forums! And from what I've read Jate and Skate are taken very seriously by a lot of people over there...
