Poor Nikki..what d'ya think she sees in hapless P*ulo? I mean she's a pretty lady..dumb yes..but pretty

She could certainly do better than P*ulo imo.. so what is it that this fine specimin sees in a mess like P*ulo?

Money perhaps? Well money has no value in the wild..so perhaps it's his dashing good looks..haha..yeah, i needed a good laugh too Hmm, any thoughts on this fatal attraction?

Are they dating?? i thought they were just mates from the crash or something. or even brother and sister..... Where have i heard that one before??

Ok, firstly, I don't think he is "hapless" or "dumb" - he's hardly been in any episodes so far, and secondly, how do you know that Nikki can do better than Paulo - we haven't seen any of their backgrounds - we don't know what sort of people they are, just judging on what we have seen so far..

At first I thought it was over protecting her but I now think its more sinister. The way he hooked her away from Hurley makes me think she owes him loads of money or something (Paulo the mafia boss or loan shark LOL). He acts like he owns the poor girl and she can't breathe.

She even tried hiding some oat cereal bars from Paulo behind the powdered milk but he got his greasy mits over them too.

I really hope I'm wrong but it scares me to think that Paulo is evil and what hes capable of doing to her. Maybe he knows about Dharma and his trips to the toilet were to meet with Nathan.

Shes Paulo's toy and it sickens me.

Its it possible that Desmond's time travelling ripped apart the fabric of space and time and that Paulo is Boone and Nikki is Shannon but in like a strange alternative Parallel reality

Yes, yes indeed..it could well be something as sinister as that..although it would move him even further down in my estimation at least it would make him slightly more interesting

Actually i can quite see him having this murkey side to him..i mean they must be setting his character up for some revelation.

WHat i want to know is, what happened in the aftermath of the crash..we need a Nikki and P*ulo flashback..though preferable one which only lasts about 2 minutes..no need to waste an entire episode is there

Yes, you make a solid point - we dont know for sure that she could do better..afterall, perhaps she is the hapless sap out of the 2. However, i just dont get that immpression..for me she seems ditzy and maybe even dumb (in spite of Lockes dumbing down to make her look good..i still cant forgive him for that )..but at least she's got zest and spark and a way about her ..P*ulo on the otherhand..well i still have nightmatres of him jaunting over to Locke at the beginning of S3..i still have cold sweats as i cast my mind back to this unknown fellow who suddenly popped up and started conversing with our beloved Locke as if he'd been there the whole time. The cheek. Plus he hasnt redeemed himself any..he's got little personality and seems to be a negative influence on the group..and when will he get off his butt and go do something other than play golf and hunt for bananas?

Nikki needs a real man

But yes, i'll give him a smidgen of a chance until i learn more about him - if i can stay awake that is

Nikki: Ahhhhh plane crashed

Paulo: Hi I'm Paulo, you jane?

Nikki: no I'm Nikki

Paulo: You mine!

It woud be interesting to see what Paulo has done in the first 60 days "the other 60 days" for example. Its the only way they can save his character IMO as maybe he saw something important. or not.

I'm undecided, as you said Kor, Nikki is pretty, which signefies she could pretty much have any guy she wants, which emphasizes the "she loves him" option. She could also be superficial, so "his looks" could be right there.

I don't think I know enough to decide yet.

That's the point - they have been there the whole time (or they were supposed to be anyway)

And it's the whole thing about 'the loop' - We say Arzt was bugged about not being part of it, and obviously Nikki is excited at being able to join in - thanks to Locke and Paulo, like Arzt is annoyed about feling left out, but instead of joining in and trying to help, he maybe resents them and thinks there is no point to their escapades through the jungle.. And what can be more a better contribution to the group than supplying food (which they need to survive)?
