i think that paulo and nikki are actually the writer's response to complaints about not showing enough of the redshirts. I think they may crop up again, but i dont think they are important 'flashback' characters.

they are! They are new regulars they have there character promotional pictures and everything! they are new character to replace Michael and Walt!

Ana, Libby and Eko were there to replace Shannon, Boone and Walt!

well its now going to be subject to actor availability. In fact they will probably recast both of them and it will be like "Michael...is that you. You look so different!"

lol, they just randomly changed it one episode, i remember will going, 'hey vivian, you look... different! did you do something to your hair?' hilarious stuff

I've cracked it! Ana, Libby and Eko came in to replace Michael and Walt but then all 3 of them died as well so now Paulo and Nikki have come in to replace those 3 but now they've vanished too

Next, they'll be new replacements for Paulo and Nikki and we know what'll happen to them don't we

Agreed. Or maybe one of them will die? Like, maybe the writers needed to kill a character to show something but didnt want to kill one of the main characters so they brought in a random. Shows do that sometimes. Remember Artz?
