I belong to a film rental by post service. I won't say which one as that could be classed as advertising.

However, I'm always looking for recommendations because I have to keep a list of films online that I wish to rent.

I enjoy a wide variety of films but I'm not into zombie or chainsaw type films!

Here are my recommendations if anyone belongs to a similar rental service:

The Siege:

I love Denzel Washington and got a shock when I realised this film was made yonks before 9/11. It seemed eerily predictive!

Training Day:

Another Denzel film also starring Ethan Hawke. A jaw dropping film but Denzel isn't in his usual role!

Fallen:

Another Denzel film. I've rarely seen Denzel in a bad film. This film is a strange film but entertaining none the less. Also stars John Goodman

The House of Mirth

Classy and excellent film starring Gillian Anderson but don't watch it if you are down in the dumps. It's not a feel good movie!

Babel:

Very different! Should appeal to Lost fans as the plot darts backwards and forwards between different characters! Brad Pitt stars with Cate Blanchett.

Starter For Ten:

James McAvoy. I love him! This is a light-hearted film for when you don't want to concentrate too much and just want to be entertained and get the odd chuckle or two!

Match Point:

Starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Scarlett Johannsen. Excellent film with lots of twists and turns. This film had a satisfying end (for me).

Perfume - The Story of a Murderer

I like films that are a bit different and not forumulaic. This film is definitely different. Dustin Hoffman is in the film but not in the starring role. Sniff this film out!

Higher Love:

I wasn't keen on this film for about the first 35 minutes but stuck with it. I'm glad I did! It's a quirky film but with a fantastic message that I found completely satisfying. Satisfying film endings are hard to find but this one didn't disappoint. Stars Rufus Sewell and Minnie Driver. This film should be rated higher or film reviewers on my rental company have no soul!

Possession:

Classy film starring Jennifer Ehle and Jeremy Northam (love him)! It's a sad story about the love affair of two Victorian poets. Also stars Gwyneth Paltrow.

The Watcher:

Keanu Reeves and James Spader. Serial killer drama with lots of Linkin Park soundtrack. I thought Keanu and James Spader were both great in this film especially Spader.

The History Boys:

For the artsy fartsy folks. It has a message! Not a film for those who like blood and guts! People who've been to uni would probably enjoy it!

This is one of my favourite movies, seriously I love it The ending (which I won't ruin) gets me everytime I see it, because I always forget about it while I'm watching

Brain dead is one of the most funniest films EVER

The scenes when that man has the scratches on him and they chop the areas affected.

And teh scene with teh zombie baby in the park

lmao! Haha I love the baby! Aw man I kill myself laughing everytime I put that on, but at the same time I can't help but feel a bit nauseous. Although it has the best line in history in it: 'Your mother ate my dog!'

Hmm... classy films... Well, I went to see Atonement at the cinema, which I thought was quite good - which is strange taking I hate those sorts of films. Err... Gladiator? I don't know, I don't do classy

Yeah! Shawshank Redemption is an excellent film.

Seen that though and brilliant as the film is, I find it hard to rewatch. What about when he's crawling through that tunnel of poo!

I love Atonement!

I kinda like James McAvoy but I would have liked that film whether he was in it or not.
