Batmans next villain? (TDK Spoilers within)

You can't avoid the buzz; not only has the film lived up to the hype but it seems to have both affirmed old faith in the franchise as well as enticed new fans.

As The Dark Knight has left it, Dent is dead; but is Two-Face? The Joker and the Scarecrow are in Jail. With Batman taking the heat for Harveys small killing spree...

Who do you think the villain will be in the next film? (and, really, they can't not do another one after the success of this and Batman Begins)

Hard question because they have already stated that there will probably be no catwoman or penguin but Ive gone for the Riddler because i want his character to be done properly.

Oh, I would be so happy if it was Poison Ivy. She's brilliant. I always wanted to be her when I was younger (I still wouldn't mind tbh, lol), coz she's just so pretty, and yet so wonderfully evil. But she does it with a smile, lol.

I choose The Riddler because I think he could be portrayed in a very sick and twisted way, much like Ledger's Joker. It would have to be a far cry from Jim Carey's Riddler which was entertaining though VERY silly - too silly for the new revival of Batman movies.

A Harley Quinn/Joker team up would be great. As would The Riddler or Poison Ivy or maybe Penguin and Catwoman.

I have to agree with Bass and Reed and say Riddler!

But i'd also love to see Harley Quinn and Joker Team up, like Lupe. Beachington's P. Ivy is also a good shout.

I'm not keen on Cat Woman after Haelle Berry (fine as she is) destroyed her.

You know what, i'd also love to see Ra's al Ghul - he was epic in Begins!

Superman vs Batman would be lame.How can Batman beat the man no one can kill? There's no Kryptonite in Gotham if I recall. :

I think Riddler should be someone insane with an "thing" you can't quite place. Zach Braff would be good.

There is kryptonite everywhere in the DC world - and all batman would have to do is block out the sun, so superman can't recharge and its never sunny in gotham anyway

In a way, Batman and Superman are on opposing sides anyways. They don't work in the same way, and the don't agree on a lot of things. Just look at "The Justice League." Superman is all sunshine and happiness, and Batman...well, we all know what Batman is, poor love.

On a separate note, like some of you, I'd also like to give a shout out to Harley Quinn, but whether or not she would work without the Joker, I'm not sure. It could be interesting though...

I like the sound of Harley Quinn as well (from the images I've seen and the animated versions of her) I think Britney Murphy would be a good choice of Actress - like ya'll say, the lack of a Joker would make her inclusion difficult.

On a side note, how would ya'll feel 'bout someone else taking on the reigns as the Joker? And if you think it's necessary, who would you pick to play him?

I think after the Jokers attack on Gotham, the Black Mask and the Riddler would be the most natural choices (more closet Freaks, coming to the forefront) as well as Two-Face - perhaps now with a split personality?

If not, I'd like to see Bane (an intelligent foe, and not the mindless brute we saw being controlled by Poison Ivy) especially if they worked in the 'breaking Batmans back' plot - it would work with Nolans darker Batman.
