Yeah, that's well summised. It's not often that we end a super hero movie with the hero being defeated. Technically Batman lost the battle with the Joker (on may levels, at least) and seemed to submit to the Joker's theory.


The Dark Knight makes the choice to become the villain.

So what was everyone's favourite moment from the movie then? I have many, but I think my absolutely favourite moment was after the Joker escapes from jail and he's got his head out of the window of the cop car. I don't know what it is about that moment..but it made me kinda respect the guy, just for his pure ingenuity and his basking in the moment.

My Favouraite moments where probably When Harvey Dent wakes up to find himself as Two Face and theres that horrible Piercing noise that really messes with your ears, You seem to be going through the same thing as The character. I also love When The Joker first meets the crime Bosses, The way he's hilarious and terrifying at the same time is brilliant

I saw this last week and i thought it was brilliant, i think one of my best moments, was at the very begining with the bank robbery, it was just so clever and funny!!

Yeah, that noise is great, they use that kind of noise a few times during the film and it really heightens the tension.

The opening scene is indeed marvellous, I guessed it was him just before the bus came crashing through the wall, but it was such an intelligent and engrossing way to open the film.

Yes it was, it gets you hooked right from the begining its brilliant! I also think that Heath Ledger made such a good joker, i am not sure if this has been mentioned in this thread yet but i havent been bothered to read all the other threads, sorry!!

One of the best non-Joker or Batman scenes is when that accountant(?) guy confronts Lucius with knowledge of the batcar and demands millions of dollars each year, and Lucius just laughs and wishes him good luck in trying to blackmail a man who beats up criminals with his bare hands.

I think, one of my favourite scenes, if when the Joker is sat in the jail cell, just watching, with that smug smile on his face, and then he starts applauding. It's his confidence - the straight back, the lack of fear and like I said, the sheer smugness that makes that scene.

There's also something oddly attractive about the Joker, especially in that scene, lol. Don't look at me like that, there is...honest

I love how the Joker is just so fearless, because - like he says to Batman when he gets a good beating in the police cell - there's nothing he can be threatened with, and because he just doesn't care he's confident to the point of arrogant but he just pulls it off so wonderfully well!

I also love the scene when he strolls, chuckling, into the ganster's meeting and does his pencil trick, before establishing his control over them all.

And while it seems he doesn't care about anything to a great deal, I did get the impression that he doesn't like it when he's called crazy and a freak, since he doesn't really consider himself either of these; sure he knows he looks odd, but he is very clever and knows exactly what he's doing and why.
