so what is going on do you think? Is he really alive, or is it the bs (my first thought) i suppose he could have been stunned by the electro thingy, but im all for him being alive, great character i thought, glad hes back

But I mean, how did he fake that? How did he know they would end up there? How...how....he had to have someone with him who would know...right? And Locke was the one that pushed him through the fence.

Somebody help me with this as I think I might be biased as I want Locke to be the bad guy, lol.

Heck of a fake if that's what it was, and he didn't deny having been dead. The implication was apparently that the island brought him back to life, which could make for interesting times... but I can't believe that's a plot thread the writers would really want to open, lest it seemed to take away from the severity of the various murders/planned executions etc. Baffling. And a little bit like Dallas.

I didn't even think of the Black Smoke, by the way. We didn't have any BS heralding noises or anything, and he was a very interactive vision.

Well... I assume that the fence was either A. On Low, or B. It affects people differently than Smokey.

He probably wasn't dead, if you look at him when he falls down, you can see his chest moving (possible mistake maybe) but... nobody really took a close look at the guy, they just stared, and then went on their way.
He was probably stunned for a while... and when he woke up and went back to the camp... everyone was gone... so he stumbled through the jungle (having no where to go) until he saw Hurley's flare gun.

Perhaps he was bitten by a Medusa Spider aswell.

maybe Mikhail himself doesnt know how he survived, hence why he said he came back to life. Perhaps it was simply a near death experience, and if this happened outside the island he would have died, but the mysterious recupretive powers of the island prevented him from dieing fully

I'm guessing it's to do with the hyper immune system thing that kills off all the pregnant women... he must've been very close to death indeed - he was haemorrhaging like a good 'un - but still brought back from the brink. Which means that every character apparently dead on the island could have a chance of Harold Bishop-esque revivial.

Yeah, there's really only 3 options:
-He was dead, and now he's alive thanks to the Island's magic healing powers
-He was merely unconscious (though the frothing and blood bursting from his ears looks rather serious)
-Smokey has taken his form in the same way it probably did with Shannon for Boone's monster vision (it was pretty interactive...).

By the way, I don't think Locke was in on it - remember his boasting to Ben 'Right before I killed him'? I reckon he genuinely thought Mikhail was dead.

Absolutely. I think Mikhail might have known what would happen though - remember his baiting of Locke. Alos, the "Thank you" is certainly appropriate now.

incidentily, maybe everyone on the island recovers after a certain period? And dead losties and others who have been buried keep waking up and suffocating
