This is an interesting take on it and then that would leave Sayid as the sole person who's also had an experience of seeing something he shouldnt when he saw Walt. The theory that they expected him to be seen by somebody he cared about / knew well rather than Shannon and Sayid also works. Mike didnt see Walt so they dont think Walt's projection worked?

Yes, thats what I'm thinking. They were so trying to get Michael just because here they thought they had the perfect pair or subjects, father and son!

Now of course they don't think it worked, or having spoken to Michael they understand why it didn't work, so they are going to interview the other four subjects they experimented on.
