I just had a thought:
In one of the deleted scenes in S1, locke explains to walt about people: pointing to them and saying how they are 'bluffing'. Could this be how the others know about who to take, through walt and what they have squezzed outta him?  Yay 3rd post!

I like your theory too Hundredand8, it's as good as any other theory for linking the Losties.
I'd figured it must be something to do with being good or bad people, but I have to admit that the 4 chosen ones are a mixture. ........unless we just don't know the full story for Jack and Hurley and they are in fact bad people? |
