If they are under contract - why do they need to boost their salaries?

Who is classed as supporting cast? People like Locke, Ben, Juliet, Jin etc...?

Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lilly are in negotiations with ABC for a Lost pay rise.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC is keen to give their salaries, believed to be $150,000 per episode, a bump as Lost enters its penultimate season.

When news of the negotiations leaked late last week, representatives for the show's other regulars called the network asking to renegotiate contracts for their clients. The Lost supporting cast are thought to take home around $80,000 to $90,000 per episode.

The fifth season of Lost is scheduled to debut next January on ABC.

Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree (no pun intended Kate) ,aybe ABC want to give them more money. Can't think why when Emerson and O'Quinn are getting the awards

So remember when your paying an extra 11% on your water, 30% more for your gas. At least Eva and Foxy are warm and cosy in their homes laughing at us

They already receive $60-70 thousand more than the other cast - which in itself is ridiculous - and they want more? There is a very fine line between the main cast and supporting cast on Lost, and no line whatsoever when it comes to Evangeline. They should all receive the same salary, unless they are smaller characters [e.g. Bernard, Daniel etc.]

There's two possible reasons for this:

1. ABC know that there are only two seasons left (34 episodes) and really don't want anything happening that would make cast members leave - thus endangering the show. Therefore they're making completely sure that nothing happens to the cast that the fans know (and love

)

2. Evi and Matt realise that the show is nearly up. They're scared that they probably won't get as good jobs after Lost (very likely). Therefore they're getting as much money as possible now.

They're prats, but they're rich prats.

Evangeline has no right really. This is her first major role she should accept what she's being paid and be thankful for it. As for Matt he should be happy with knowing more than the rest of the cast.

WHAT KINDA OF FOOLISHNESS?

Like Matthew Fox hasnt rolled it in this year LOST, Vantage Point,Speed Racer (all though i hear it wasnt that good and didnt make a lot of money) and Loreal and he is still asking for more coz it obvisouly aint enough to be known as the "STAR" the show and know the shows ending and be the only one out of the cast that does!!!

Evangeline lily should be happy with her first ever acting job seeing as she's got a boyfriend,a Film Script AND Davidoff

Too damn ungreatfull thats what it is. I'm happy with my 5.79 an hour

that is ridiculous! Matt I can understand getting payed more than a lot of the other cast, although I do believe O'Quinn and Emerson should get a similar wage. Perhaps Holloway too. But he is being too darn ungrateful and people are not going to like it.

and WTH is Evangeline thinking? Her first acting job and she can't put up with what she's being payed. She should be grateful she got the part that she did. Somebody like her should have a role like Rose's at best.

Well i think we all agree that $150,000 an episode is just ridiculous. I mean, how the hell are they supposed to pay for their mansions and their giant boats and ten cars with that? Do they expect them to break into that million dollar advert deal money? Complete foolishness. How dare ABC be so inconsiderate by only paying them $150,000 an episode! Do they expect Matthew Fox and Evangline Lily to drive to work in an Audi like peasants!?
