I'm not hating on Matthew fox seeing as i got Vantage Point on dvd for My bday or Evi but i think its ridiculous how much money these actors get for 40 mins on screen

Out of the two I think that LOST is indeed bigger and spread across MANY more markets and mediums (web, viral, computer games,action figures etc)..but there's probably a bunch of die-hard Desperate Housewive fans saying the same thing about their show Although I doubt it.

It's the same with Grey's Anatomy - massive show and roughly on-par with LOST viewing-figure-wise



The thing about LOST, though, is many of it's viewers don't watch on the night of air, or they watch using alternate means. Other shows cannot boast the same thing to the same extent, so in real terms LOST beasts these other shows, but in Nielson terms, it's a close-run thing. IMO.

Interesting. Though I would have thought fans of many shows may download episodes rather than watching them on TV perhaps because they do not have Sky or Cable or for convenience. That is a shame if this is the case because Lost is so immensely big and it has SO much more to offer than D.H. So much more effort goes into producing it also. A travesty really.

Most of the other show like Greys Anatomy do appear on normal tv now anyway and its a shame that Lost is soo underappriciated now coz when it first came out everybody was talking about it and now i ask people and they say no i used to watch it but then it moved to sky.

Thats why it should have stayed on Channel 4 becuase me and mates all watched it and then when it moved nobody went into thier living room every sunday at ten to watch on sky becuase they couldnt be bothered or some body else was watching. I'm the only one who has stayed faithfull allthough one of my mates is watching season 2 now lol she dont have a clue bless her and asked me if Henry is really Henry .

I already said it on the Emmy thread, but I'll say it again... In what alternate universe exactly was John Locke ever a "supporting character" on LOST? And Ben has really been the focus of season 4 more than any other character (except perhaps Jack, but at worst they shared the amount of screentime and storyline focus). I can understand why Jack is seen as the lead, but people seriously need to realize that TV shows can, and often do have more than one or two leads. And those leads can be of the same gender. But what exactly makes Kate "the lead" and a more important character than Locke or Ben? Is it because Jack has the hots for her?

Seriously, when is everyone going to understand that today's films, and especially today's TV shows, are not 1940s romantic comedies, and that they don't necessarily have ONE male and ONE female lead?

As I said last page, ABC may have just offered the raise to ensure nothing happens to the two characters who in the US are pretty much the faces of Lost. Look at the posters etc it's usually Evi and Foxy front and centre.

Jack obviously can't be killed off because of his importance to the storyline... but I would be very happy if they limited his and Kate's screentime. I actually think Jack would be OK in smaller doses.

I don't think anything could help Kate at this point...
