'Lost' adds two new characters
Two new "dangerous" characters are reportedly set to make their debuts in the fifth season of Lost.
**spoilers removed** Filming on the new season of Lost will begin on August 19, with broadcast currently slated for early February 2009. Cult - News - 'Lost' adds two new characters - Digital Spy

I don't think Emile De Ravin was credited for much of season 1 either, so I'm not sure how much to read into the fact she's been omitted from the cast list. At the moment, I'd put a fair bet on her returning for a chunk of season 5.

I don't like the sound of new characters....
 I never liked new people on the show (Except Desmond, Ben, and Juliet) Like Nikki and Paulo, the first time I sawThem I was hoping they would get eaten by smokie....  To me these new people are just two more people to hate! And we already have a dangerous and extremely intelligent male on the show.... Ben.

Wow, interesting. To be honest, new characters are a must being that Widmore is trying to find the Island - of course assuming these two new characters belong to him.
