Default Walt to the rescue?

Hmm, as Mike and Walt were sailing away from the dock near the end of 'LTDA'..did anyone else notice the 'double look' that Walt gave Jack (and/or Sawyer/Kate/Hurley)?

Im just wondering..perhaps Walt will do something to help them? I mean, i presume that his abilities have strengthened somewhat since his capture? Perhaps he is now aware that he is powerful? Surely (if he can) he'd do something to help out his old bud, Hurley, right?

Or

Perhaps Mike's concience will overcome him and he'll turn back around and help his once buddies? (unlikely, i know :P )

Default Walt to the rescue?

Yeah I noticed it, and I was suprised that he wasn't looking at them more, seeing as I don't think he was aware of that trade Michael had to make..

I do think that the first episode of s3 will have Walt asking Michael about it, and maybe trying (and most likely failing) to convince him to turn round and try and help.

It'll be interesting to find out whether he still has his powers, he seems to have shot up since we last saw him though, so maybe he could have lost his powers due to puberty or something.. That could be why the Other decided to relinquish him! Or it could be the other way, and he's more powerful than before, though I doubt it, really.

I think we could be in for another Walt appearance to the captured Losties to give 'em some information though..

Edit: Oh and as a side query, what was the s2 finale called? I was wondering earlier but I didn't want to start a whole thread about it, then I noticed you shortened it to LTDA..

It's called 'Live Together, Die Alone' Che. Please don't shout at me for not putting a wee thingy over the e. I remember you saying when you joined you got pretty mad when people didn't do it. I'm not just being lazy - I just don't know how to!!

Live Together Die Alone. I definately think it's not the last we're going to see of Mike and Walt. There has to be more to happen with his specialness so maybe he will appear and try to help them. Although, it might have been a double glance because he hasn't seen them for about a month and it was like Woah what's happened here?!

Henry said that they had got more than they bargained for when they took Walt and so perhaps his abilities are too powerful. If they are powerful, with being in such a confined space with Michael he could possibly cause them both to die or to become injured.

And SP - to make the e an é you just hold down the 'alt gr' key on the immediate right of your space bar and press e.

Does anyone know if the actor who plays Walt is returning, as there was lots of threads talking about him growing up to fast compared to the pace the eppys were going at. Was this just rumours about him leaving?

IMO I think they will return, I think Michaels concience will get the better of him and he will return, wether he returns with Walt though.....

I think that- so long as guns and things aren't involved, 'cause they're quite hard to argue with - what Walt wants, Walt gets. Remeber the rain stopping suddenly in S1?

It woulodn't be too hard to imagine Walt conjuring up (with or without realising it... that's another debate!) some big wave or tide that turns them back.#

Whether or not he wants to though... He looked pretty freaked out about what they did to him, so maybe he'll just want to get as far away as he can, and forget about what happened. And after michael's trigger ahppy antics I';m sure he'd go along with that!

On the DVD behind the scenes for this episode - they had Vincent in the boat too. I don't remember seeing him or was he removed by CGI?

And Walt looked about 21 too nowhere near 10 anyway!

I was bored at work today and thinking, and then I suddenly thought "what if Walt is..... Him!?!?"

..And he's just going out of sight of the losties then he will throw Michael over the edge of the boat by looking at him or something

I know it's probably a ridiculous idea, but it would be interesting!

Yeah the possibility that he is losing his powers or that his abilities have reached their threshold is an interesting one, imo. Though you also raise an interesting possibility about his powers actually being more powerful that they "had barganined for"! ..theres something about the way HG said that..
