Very memorable scene between Locke and Desmond as Desmond continued to get drunk on Dharma wine after Jack & Co. had raided his boat. First time Locke had seen Des' since the whole Swan-Button fiasco.

Not sure why I remember it, maybe it is because Lost quotes are typically memorable/significant - imo.

I remember reading the joke has two endings - cannot remember the other one - however only this one was heard in Lost.

I remember the "smells like carrots" answer too. Quite clearly lol. It's one of the main things that I remember from the S2 finale

It'll have just been a code between Dharmites to make sure that their replacements are fellow Dharmites and not Hostiles trying to take over the hatches.
