What if Locke and Eko are actually dead. I never really thought it possible but then i just wondered maybe the directors decided to do it to shock the audience and maybe the characters of Locke and Eko have been used and are finished with, though I cant see how that would work, unless Locke has ultimately rescued everyone by not pressing the button and is therefore a hero?

Im kind of presuming that desmond is gone, but who knows, maybe he's not. I suppose we cant really say anything until we know exactly what happened in the hatch *crosses fingers*

oh wow i hope not! besides Sawyer, they are 2 of my fav characters. i can not wait until 10pm tonight. how exciting!

that would be terrible!

i wouldn't really care about eko, not a huge fan, but locke! they couldn't, i mean i don't think his character really has been "used up". as for desmond, i think he's great, i hope he's not gone!

It would bother me that Eko died, I'd be sad. Poor thing.

But Locke, can't say I'd miss him.

I don't see how we can lose Locke until we know how he ended up in the wheelchair - plus that really would alienate a massive swathe of viewers. The other two don't have that sort of security though, so yeah, anything goes there.

No way will Locke emerge as a corpse from the hatch! He's just got so many unanswered questions surrounding him, and he's still got a major part to play on the island I think.

He's also one of the most integral characters to the show, and it would suffer greatly if he was taken out of it. And even though I can't stand Jack, I think that if he were to die the show would also take a turn for the worse.
