How brilliant was that at the end!?

I knwo a few of us had suspicions that she was actually in the hospital herself but having it confirmed in that way was excellent! And i guess weve just had our first Libby flashback too!

So we know she was a patient at Santa Rosa..and is it just me or did she 'appear' even more in a state than Hurley was? did she have a worse condition? If so, how did she make it out the other side into becoming 'stable'? Was Hanso foundation involved, I wonder? Did she know Emily Locke? ..so many questions!

Well she obviously recognises Hurley, but I really hope that there is nothing more sinister than that involved.

I dont think her "feelings" for him are real though, she didnt look that happy after they kissed.

People do actually recover from Mental illness and I hope for the sake of Lost's reputation she doesnt turn out to be still ill.

i agree, she looked a bit shifty, but maybe thats more to do with the fact that she does know hurley then to do with the fact that she didnt want to kiss hurley, if that makes any sense?

I was really not expecting that ending!!

I had suspicions that Libby was a bit dodgy, but never thought she would be in the same mental hospital as Hurley. For all the conspiracy theorists out there, who knows if Libby wasn't just planted there by Hanso/Dharma to keep an eye on Hurley, and that she wasn't actually ill in the first place? That of course assumes you're partial to the theory that all (or most of) the survivors were pre-selected to be involved in the 'crash' onto the island.

I'm not completely convinced her feelings for Hurley are real either, and I hope that she doesn't mess with his head even more.

And Emily Locke is Locke's birth mother who gave him up for adoption.

I think that someone who looks like Hurley (no offence if you do look like hurley) would have to be a serious blagger to get a girl like Libby i.e she wouldnt just kiss if she recognises him I mean can you see Jack & Desmond getting it on.

My theory: She did seem to be looking right at Hurley, maybe Hurleys bad luck has in some way affected her, so now she's stalking him? Obviously unless shes Dharma/Hanso she wouldn't have intended to be in a plane crash with. And the kiss? They do seem like a bit of a mismatch. Something isn't right here . . .

She could be a plant, another Ethan like mole that was actually on the plane. Could this add fuel to the fire that the plane crash wasn't actually a plane crash?

Im still not sure what to make of her really..i mean she definetely had her best scene in that episode imo and i was really impressed by her calming nature and the understanding that she showed towards Hurley..but like you said, she didnt look happy with that kiss did she!? I was expected her to kiss him again after he said "we should do it again" [or whatever it was he said.

I do think she has recovered from her illness and it would be interesting to one day find out her journey and to see how she recovered..perhaps we'll find out sometime in S4 no doubt. ..im also interested to see exactly how Hurlkey recovered..i know we were told but i would like to witness it for myself..im sure theres more interesting aspects in there.

See thats the thing..i do firmly believe in the pre-selection thoery...and i still do harbour a belief that Libby is a mole..it's just that after this episode i forgot about my deep rooted suspicions of her, lol.

So, yes, her being a Hanso plant woiuld make alot of sense..especially when we remember her more 'dodgy' aspects earlier in the season..

I think theres alot of digging to be done in this area..

Isnt it funny that Libby has never shown any signs of recognising the numbers? I mean she was in the same hospital as Lenny Simms! Surely she must recognise them?

perhaps she was so delirious she cant even remember that, maybe she doesnt even remember Hurley and maybe he did actually tread on her foot, how should we know any different?
