Is Libby an Other?

I always thought there was something a bit strange with Libby, and then we found out that she was in the mental hospital with Hurley.

But what is pretty suspicious to me is the way she looks uncomfortable when Hurley mentions that he's seen her from somewhere before. And when Ana told her that there was one of the Others locked in the hatch that had tried to kill her, Libby didn't appear all that shocked or even concerned to me!

I think there's a good chance Libby was working for Hanso/Dharma/the Others in some shape or form, and there's a lot more to her than meets the eye. I only hope that her story won't be forgotten about now that she's been shot and is most likley dead!

To my knowledge we have never seen Libby at the airport have we??

No I don't ever remember seeing her in the airport, or even on the plane...

Just because we didn't see her at the airport doesn't mean she was not on the plane. I think she was there watching Hurley, why else won't she tell him where he has seen her before?
Every time Hurley is talking to her she just looks like she would rather be somewhere else and the reaction of Micheal when he shot her...you could tell that was a bad move on his part!

Didn't Libbie say that Hurley had stepped on her foot on the plane? But then someone pointed out that she would have been at the back of the plane, and Hurley came in from the front (smiling at Walt ), so unlikely that he stepped on her foot at all......... which makes me think she's LYING! and therefore, henceforth and forthwith (maybe) - she is an Other!!

Yeah, in particular i was intrigued by the look that she gave to Ana after Ana told her about Henry's attack on her. Although i interpreted it as Libby being very much intrested but just trying to conceal it, almost as if she was suprised that Henry would do such a thing.

When i was rewatching EHH the other week i thought that i saw Libby in the music shop hat he and Johnny went into but i couldnt be sure so i didnt pursue it. I wonder though...

I have no idea why people think this about Libby. I assumed that she wouldn't tell Hurley where he knew her from because she was a bit reticent about his knowing that she was in the hospital. It took him a long time to tell people as well, and we have no idea what her particular condition was. I expect she had issues about people knowing. And I think people attach too much significance to slightly dodgy looks sometimes...I just reckon she looked worried for Ana because she knew perfectly well what Ana was capable of.

And she wasn't on the 'plane or at the airport because the actor hadn't been hired at that point. We didn't see Bernard on the 'plane or at the airport until his flashback required them to do some shooting there...and we haven't seen Eko there at all. We saw Libby in the water in The Other 48 Days. That's enough for me.

I'm sorry...but if you tell someone that you have feelings for them and they kiss you, you do NOT cringe like she did...if someone tells you that they are takigy you for a surprise romantic picnic on a deserted, secter, beautifull beach, you do NOT smily through gritted teeth. It's like she would rather be sticking jelly fish to her eyeballs than spend any time with him. So if she does like him, then why act like that?

Perhaps Libby wasn't surprised that Ana had got herself into bother again and that someone else wanted to hurt her, but she could have at least faked some shock/sympathy!

I just get the feeling that Libby wasn't too surprised to hear Ana say what she did...assuming that Libby is an Other or at least working for them, she may have heard about Ana not being on the good people's list, and that her days were numbered.

And when Ana told her that although she was alright the guy in the hatch wouldn't be, Libby looked funny again. Perhaps she was worried about Ana killing yet another person, but perhaps if she was with the Others than she may have been concerned for the person in the hatch.

Yeah she definately gave Ana a funny look I thought. I mean after all she'd been through with Ana, I would have thought she'd appear more concerned/alarmed/shocked that someone had tried to kill her!

But yes, Libby could in fact have been very interested in all that Ana told her, but kept her real feelings very well concealed. If she was working with the Others, then she may have had to hold back telling Ana not to kill Henry because that may have aroused Ana's suspicions.

I agree with the bit where you sugest that even if she is not an "other" she may be working for them....there are too many things to suggest that she is one of them.
