Co-stars were angry on Evangeline?!

Hey guys I'm new here and I thought I post this interview 'cause I think it's extremly annoying.

Evangeline Lilly says she is "like a man".

The 28-year-old beauty - who has reportedly rekindled her relationship with her former 'Lost' co-star Dominic Monaghan - claims she found fame by accident and has an "unfortunate amount of confidence" when it comes to making career choices.

She said: "The only reason I was going for auditions when I won the role of Kate in 'Lost' was an exercise in self-exploration.

"But I'm like a man - you know, 'I can do anything.'

"At 14 I thought I might one day be an actress. But by 18 I wanted to be a missionary. Acting as a career was just a blip on the radar."

The star - who is the current face of Davidoff Cool Water Woman perfume - also revealed how angry her 'Lost' co-stars were when they discovered she had no previous acting experience or training.

She added: "They were furious. You could see it written all over their faces. They were thinking, 'I've done all this work to get to this place and here you are with nothing to draw on, standing at the same place as me.' "

I can't imagine any of them reacting that way, I think she's talking bulls**t! And even if it would have been like that why does she say it in an interview?! It just casts a damning light on her co-stars and that's just mean since all of them are praising her in interviews.

I could imagine there was animosity because I recall from somewhere the fact she had no experience so it is understandable that they were annoyed.

I can undertand some of the co-stars might have been miffed but I guess everyone has to get experience somewhere. She was just extremely lucky but I guess you make your own luck in life.

Also this article could just be manufactured 'gossip' so could have been blown up a little and unless you hear this kind of stuff direct from the actors mouths themselves, how much of this stuff can you believe?

I tend to take much of the stuff I read in magazines with a pinch of salt.

Well these are direct quotes from Evangeline. I doubt she is rubbing it in though, as you can never tell someone's tone in text.

Well I'm not a celebrity but I've been misquoted in magazines. I think many journalists are sometimes tempted to put good copy in instead of the facts!

I daresay she might have been getting some black looks from her co-stars! They were probably wishing they'd had a lucky break like that!

You have been misquoted? But yes I suppose even direct quotes are often meddled with. I think MOST of the actors/actresses had paid in the range of 'some-to-many' dues, whereas Evie had literally NO experience which must have been infuriating especially given her character status in Lost.

I can understand why they might be abit peed off but it's just stupid to be angry. They cast the people who suit the roles not who's had the most experience and who has worked hard.

I really dislike Evangeline though in interviews. She comes across so big headed.

I have a newspaper clipping about my mother and I remember she always said: "I never said that"! I think it's a common occurrence.

I agree with MEP that it is a bit pointless to be angry as the co-stars arent there to choose their colleagues and Dominic (Charlie) obviously didn't feel too much ill-will towards Evi (seeing as how he is supposed to be marrying her)! If he did experience any anger, it seems like it was short-lived (in his case anyway).

I think any anger depends on the person and their personality and stance on things. I think once they got to know her, any annoyance would have gone out of the window.

Pre-Lost, I think she hardly did any acting except for an advert and as an background extra in a movie. Nearly everythng on her imdb page is post-Lost.

I don't know Evangeline Lilly personally so it is difficult to comment but she may have earned her stripes on set. Perhaps she didn't moan or whinge and didn't always rely on her stunt double and did some stunts herself. This is all surmise of course; but as you say, once they got to know her, she could have earned her co-stars respect in other ways and the wounded feelings and anger may have dissapated.

The Losties seem to be having a lot of fun in those blooper scenes and seem like a very happy bunch (judging by those scenes). It always looks like they are having a lot of laughs and giggles.

I always laugh when I see those out take scenes where Sayid kisses Locke and whispers sweet nothings to him!

I just think it's stupid to say they've worked hard to get there. Everyone has to start somewhere. As I said I can understand but it just annoys me.
